Waitlist Question - What would you do?

We have a 6 night reservation at Copper Creek in early Jan 26. We have waitlisted the Grand Floridian for the same 6 nights. This morning, 4 nights at the Poly Tower became available (same dates we have at CCV but missing the first and last night). I booked the 4 nights and waitlisted the first night (We enough points to carry both reservations without borrowing). However, we only have 6 days to cancel one reservation before points go into holding. We don't want to shorten our trip so if we aren't able to get the 2 additional nights at the Poly, we will stick with our CCV 6 night reservation and hope VGF comes through.

My question is: would you give up the Floridian waitlist and waitlist the last night at the Poly? I know it's more likely that 2 separate 1 night waitlists come through rather than a single 6 night waitlist. The flip side is we only have 6 days for those two 1 night waitlists to come through. We've been on the Floridian waitlist for a couple months now and we have it set to expire 7 days before our trip. I am also stalking the site to see if anything comes along that I could snag on my own.

Summary:

Booked 6 nights at CCV. Waitlisted 6 nights at VGF
Booked 4 nights (nights 2-5) at Poly. Waitlisted 1st night. Nothing for 6th night as of yet.
We're not looking to shorten our trip or change dates.
Worse case we stick with 6 nights at CCV and hope VGF comes through. If not, we'll be more than happy at CCV. We've never stayed at WL and it's high up our list. We just prefer a monorail resort for this trip if possible.

Curious to hear everyone's thoughts.

I always go with the sure thing, personally (stick with the CCV booking/VGF waitlist). I book what I can get and waitlist what I want.

If you decide to give up the VGF waitlist, I would book something else for those two nights, like Old Key West or whatever is available. Moving rooms is a pain but at least you won't have the possibility of having nothing. Of course you can set your waitlist to replace the OKW reservation should it match, then contact member services to combine the reservations into one so you won't have the possibility of having to switch rooms at Polynesian.

I am not a big risk taker, especially so close to the vacation. If I have 7 months or close to it, I am willing to play the game. I'd stick with your original plan and waitlist but continue to stalk for the entire stay. Packing up and moving wastes an entire day and way too much energy.
