Waitlist question - what do you think my chances are?

We are on a wait list for BWV - 2 bedroom - standard.
We want to go in early Aug.
What are my chances? I understand the Disney wait list is computer generated. Does anyone have any insight re: this?
We have a reservation for OKW but hoping for BWV.

On 3/2 this year we got on a waitlist for a standard BWV 2 bedroom and it came through for us 3/15, a short waitlist. This was for arrival on August 21. That was awhile ago, but ours came through, and I'll wish you pixie dust! We are waitlisted for Standard studio for our Sept. 30th arrival.

We were waitlisted for 2BR at easter last year. Day by day the request was fulfilled and we got all 7 days

I just came on to ask the same question!!
I recently became a DVC member with a resale at VWL. I could not get the dates I wanted (Oct20-23,2005) and I am now booked at OKW for a 2 bedroom and waitlisted for VWL. Its been a few weeks and I am starting to think I might not get it. Is it still to early for a waitlist to come through for Oct?
Since its my first time using my membership, I would like to stay at my home resort.
Any information would be appreciated.

There may be some waitlist activity when we're closer to the 31 day mark. At the point that it's really "go, or the points become reservation status" and some people may cancel. At some point, MS would take you off the waitlist, I know they asked me if I wanted to stay on, but I don't remember the automatic cut off, maybe 30 days, maybe a week before. Again, I hope someone with more waitlist experience chimes in.

October really is a busy time for DVC. We bought in '03 (Sept.) and we asked our guide to check ressies for our Oct. dates which did include Halloween, and nothing was available. We stayed in the Dolphin. Yet, at the same time we were able to book at VWL for December 19, that was also for a weekend, and I remember that date because our DGson was born, we got the message while at there!!! We got into VWL making the ressie for a studio only 3 months out.

We made a waitlist for a BCV studio for 10/20 & 10/21 at the 7 month mark, and it hasn't come through yet. MS did tell me we have a beeter chance as time goes on and others cancel, and they will automatically cancel the waitlist at the 31 day mark.
We're still hoping, but we DO have a "Plan B"!

Hi- I just got some great news this morning that my waitlist partially came through. One of my BCV studios came through. I am waiting for 2 studios or a two bedroom at BCV for 8/21 to add to my 2 bdrm villa 8/22-8/26 reservation. I've been on the list since mid-May, to be honest wasn't feeling too optimistic but the CM said I had a good shot since it was only one night so I hopped on. So hopefully the add'l studio or better yet the 2 bdrm will come along soon. Sending some pixie dust your way and spraying some more on me! Good Luck!

We're going August 7th and Tuesday (two days ago) I called and got put on a wait list for VWL studio (we were booked at OKW) and yesterday, the day after I requested to be put on the wait list, I got a call that one opened up for us!! I couldn't believe it happened that quick! I am thrilled!!! I have a feeling it will happen for you. Everytime we've been put on a wait list, we've gotten the call. Good luck to ya!!
