This is my first waitlist so I have a question about my particular situation. I hope I explain this correctly. 
I am trying to book 2 nights at Grand Californian in January, either January 3 - 5 or 7 - 9 to add on to either the beginning or end of a 2 night VDH reservation that I've rented from someone else (I don't have direct points so I can only do VGC).
I managed to book January 3 - 4 and waitlisted 4 - 5. I also have a waitlist for the 7 - 9 currently, but I only want either set of dates, not both. I also have exactly enough points left for the 2 nights prior to the VDH stay (I have more than enough needed for the 2 nights after because those require fewer points).
If the 7 - 9 dates come through, will they cancel the 3 - 4 reservation and not borrow from my next use year? I don't want to borrow and I checked that box when I made the waitlist. I also made that waitlist prior to the booking I found so I wasn't able to select the "replace this reservation" option. Or will that booking just not come through at all because I have a reservation currently and selected not to borrow?
Does all this make sense lol? Basically I'm trying to figure out if the 7 - 9 dates do become available, will they still book that one and what happens to the 3 - 4 booking? Because I'd really prefer the later dates anyway being that they are lower points.
