Hello,

I am currently waitlisted for a BWV Studio Standard View for 28 December to 1st January. Can anyone give me any opinion as to how much chance I have of it coming through for me?

This is my first time waitlisting.

TIA

Hi we have wait listed a few times. Have usually gotten the change. But for bwv at that time of year might be very tough.

Well, what's good is that you have a lot of time within which your waitlist can come through. However, given that you are requesting a popular view during a peak period does work against you. It's really anyone's guess as to whether it comes through or not but the best you can do is to keep checking online and perhaps call MS once a month too. Good luck! :goodvibes

You have a much better chance, hopefully, than those who go on the wait list at the 7 month mark. I hope that you get it!

I think you would have better luck if you waitlisted for preferred view as well.

We went on the waitlist at the end of January 2010 for Feb 22-26th 2010 in pool/garden view at BWV. Exactly a week before we left I checked the site and saw our waitlist went through. (I also had called and requested to be close to the lobby, and we certainly were - 3 doors away from it!)

There are only a few standard view studios. So, you're betting that one of a small number of people will decide to cancel their holiday vacation.

I agree that your chances would be better with a preferred view. It's still going be tough; the time you've waitlisted is the during the most sought-after week of the year.

IMO, a waitlist for a standard view that includes NYE is very unlikely to come through. That's the most popular time of the year and SV villas make up less than 20% of the available rooms at the BWV.

If you called as soon as MS opened on 1/28/10 and went on the waitlist at that time, you have a chance. Some people's plans may change. If you called after that, I think your chances are nearly zero, as there are undoubtedly several others on the waitlist ahead of you.

Hope I am wrong (but make a backup plan if you don't already have one).

Good luck!

Our backup plan is a 1 bed - we have that booked for the 4 nights. If our waitlist doesn't come through, we are staying in a studio for 2 nights, one bed for 4 nights, then back to the studio for 3 nights. A whole load of moving about. I'm totally new to this, so we only booked on the 18th February.

I'm glad you do have something for the night of NYE!

We do, we just don't want to move from a studio to a one bed to a studio. In the end, hey, we're going to Disney, and it's NYE (we call it Hogmanay!)
