Waitlist Question - AKL Odds

I currently have a Value 1-Bedroom booked for 3 nights in November and I'm looking to add another night to my trip. I don't have the points availability to cover another night in a 1-bedroom and I'm not looking to make a cash reservation, so I'm instead creating waitlists for a studio for 4 nights, but I'm looking for some advice.

My first waitlist I created was for a Savannah View studio at Jambo house. For the second waitlist, am I better off looking for a standard view, or am I better off looking for a Savannah View at Kidani? I'm just not sure which will have better odds.

There are roughly twice as many Standard & Savanna View Studios in Kidani Village, so based on numbers, KV might have the best odds for a wait list matching.

That's a good point, I didn't think about it that way. Do you think there's any advantage to waitlisting a Standard vs a Savannah view room? My only thought is there might be lower demand for the standard views.

Standard View is less points, so that could possibly increase demand slightly. In KV, there are approx. 40 more Savanna View Studios than Standard Views.

I typically prefer the JH Studios due to the bathroom layout, but we are staying in a KV studio next month for the DAK Moonlight Magic event since theme park buses (when shared) pickup at KV first followed by JH.

Yeah, we have the Value 1-Bedroom at JH and I'd really prefer to stay in that room because it's our first stay as DVC members and I totally lucked into it, but if I want to try to stay an extra night I really don't have an option besides downgrading to a studio, so I'm kind of going to take what I can get.

There aren't any studios available for the night I need, and I'd rather not deal with the hassle of changing rooms.

I did do some math and figured out I could make an additional night in the value 1BR work if I made an adjustment to my summer 2024 reservation, so I'm on a waitlist for my existing reservation plus the one extra night that I need.

I'm also just going to keep an eye on things and if a studio at JH opens up for that night I'll book that.
