1-When you waitlist, does it show up anywhere(member website, reservation confirmation), or do you just take it on faith that you're actually on a waitlist?

2-Is it possible to waitlist for an entire stay in one solid chunk? I wouldn't want to be switching between resorts if only certain days came through...

3-Do they ever lose your first reservation when unsuccessfully switching to your wailisted one and you then have nothing?

4-Do you end up borrowing points and then banking the current year's points (assuming banking deadlines haven't passed) to cover a waitlisted room (if you used all your points for the originally booked stay) or do the points "transfer" over? I know that's going to be hard, if not impossible, to follow, but that's the best wording I can come up with this early:guilty:

Thanks!

You take it on faith. You can call MS from time to time to make sure you're still there, but that's about it. They won't even tell you what place in line you are for the waitlisted dates and resort.

Yes, you can waitlist an entire reservation as a block. It can greatly reduce your odds of getting the waitlisted dates but does preserve the "one reservation" mode with no moves.

I haven't heard of this happening on a waitlist, but some have reported it happening live while talking to MS and cancelling one reservation to book another. I think waitlists are processed in the off hours and thus it is less likely to happen at that point.

Normally, they use the same points (if adequate) by cancelling one reservation and making a new one for the waitlisted room. So the points "transfer over" so to speak. Of course, you could need more or less points for the second reservation which might cause you to need to borrow or bank.
