Waitlist points after 7 months

I have points at both BLT and SSR. Currently I have NYE waitlisted at BLT (using BLT points) since the 11 month window opened. My waitlist is set to borrow the required points from 2013.

My question is once this goes past the 7 month mark, can I use my SSR points to fill my waitlist, or will I have to use the BLT points, since my position on the waitlist was due to the BLT points being used?

My understanding from reading many posts is no you can not. To change the points to your SSR at 7 months you loose your wait list spot. You are then put on at the end with your other points. That is the reason behind home advantage. I hope that helps.

Your waitlist priority is based on the 11 months for home resort, so those would have to be used. If you want to use SSR, you would have to get on the waitlist at 7 months.

Once you get your wait list though, you can then swap the points for that reservation to SSR.

No, you can't. You cannot substitute another resort's points on a reservation made during the home resort priority period, UNLESS the exact same thing is available to book at the time the swap is made. If there are waitlists, you will not be allowed to swap.
