Waitlist Option GFV

I am not sure if I did this right.

Long story short we shifted our trip in June by a day to save a bunch on airfare. Our original stay was a split with 2 nights at AKL and 6 nights at GFV in a Resort Studio Preferred. I shifted the entire stay by a day and the AKL room was fine but the GFV was not available for the last night in our room category. But it was available for a Deluxe Studio Preferred.

I went in and booked the Deluxe.

So our current booking is:

June 2-4 AKL SV
June 4-9 GFV RS
June 9-10 GFV DS

I want to waitlist the last night to be a RS. My question is, there was a screen that asked do I want to replace it with a reservation. I picked the DS to replace. If the waitlist gets filled, will I still have three separate reservations? Or will it merge with the other RS stay? Can it be merged after?

Yes you will have three reservations unless it automerges which has happened but isn’t a sure thing. If it does not merge, just reach out to member services and they’ll be able to merge for you. Just be aware, the cancellation notice comes in before the new reservation fills. So if you get a cancellation notice, don’t freak out, it’s likely the waitlist coming through.
