waitlist okw grand villa- September

Hello all! I know none of us have crystal ball, but any thoughts on the chance of a waitlist or actual booking at 7 months for a grand villa at
okw in September
( thinking 2023)?

In 20 years I have never been able to get every night needed for an OKW GV using the WL. It has been a day here and a day there. If you want a GV best bet is to book at your home resort if they offer them even if it is for fewer nights than what you would get at OKW due to points being higher.

Having stayed in GV down to studios I can’t say the GV made the trip any better. Sometimes the studios are much better to get privacy.

Bad. This room is walked and stalked, and people buy at OKW for the purpose of getting this room. Heck, your odds aren't even great at 11 months. You should be able to get a BLT or AKL.

OKW is my home resort, and I got waitlisted on the first day, 11 months out.

I think you can get it in September at seven months. The 7-month window for September 2022 is opening in a couple weeks. Try it and see. So long as you don't have your heart set on a GV-Hospitality House.

I have not had a lot of success with WL's in general.

While we're on the subject of wait list-if you don't see availability for a room you want, and you are on the wait list (renting points), even though it's not showing availability, is there a chance your wait list can still come through? Sorry new to this-wl for BW, out of 6 days, I think at this point only 2 are still showing available. Does that make sense? thanks!
