Just to let everyone know there is hope at the end of the waitlist tunnel! Just got a call from Member Services saying that our request for a studio at HHI for Easter weekend just came through! It's our first time there - so if anyone could let us know of best location requests for a studio at the HHI resort, what are the must do's for a 3 day weekend and other great info about HHI, it would be greatly appreciated!

Remember, disney wishes do come true!!!

Melissa,

Congrats on the Waitlist coming through - we have done this a few times and it (so far) has always come through! We have never been to HHI so I can't offer any advice - but from post i have read in the past it is beautiful and you are SURE to have a wonderful time!

Have a great time! I'm happy to hear that the waitlist worked! I've never been there, hope to go next year.

Woo-hoo! We'll be at HH the Thurs/Fri nights before Easter (non-DVC), then down to WDW. Hope you have a great trip!!!

Hi again!

We just got on the waitlist 10 days ago - and it worked out - got Thursday night right away with Member Services and then yesterday we got a call for Friday and Saturday nights! It will be our first time so any info on what's going on there would be great for those days!

We'll be there too. We usually go in the summer so this is our first off-season trip. MS should sent you a list of the events, though without times and dates. It appears alot of activities are planned. There is also a special Easter dinner they are selling that is brought to our room. Call MS or the resort for these two items.

Must-sees and must-dos? Relax! Enjoy the slow pace. HHI obviously has an abundance of golf and tennis options. But also consider a boat trip in Broad Creek, a stop at the Discovery Museum, rent or bring your bikes, eat at some wonderful restaurants. When you check-in, see if any of the nature programs at the resort are available, they are excellent.

Enjoy!

Book one of the Dolphin Cruises through the resort. We got a lot closer to the dolphins than we expected and it was a blast! It was a bit chilly but just bring a jacket and your favorite beverage and you'll be fine!

The actual schedule won't be out till the weekend before - I think it goes Sunday to Saturday. You may get a Campfire night, An Evening of Magic, Kids Night Out, Longview Cooking Club, Disney Discovery Club, Longview Arts and Crafts, Goofy Bingo, Gyotaku, Pirates of the Calibogue, Fishing Pole Playhouse, Shadow's Tales, Unbirthday Party, Cosmic Road Trip, Dolphin Tours to name quite a few of the programs. We are checking in on Saturday - perhaps we'll see you there!

As far as I'm concerned, you can't help but love HH (even though I'm sure there is a small minority who disagrees). I'd love to spend some Easter there-do they do any special events?
We're checking in Saturday too-but I mean THIS Saturday. Can't wait!
