Waitlist - How Likely?

We've booked 2 nights, a Friday and Saturday, mid July, in a savanna view studio at Kidani. We have waitlisted those 2 nights in a garden or pool view studio at BWV. The Saturday night has been available all along. MS suggested this option because of that making it more likely to come through. What do you think our chances are of having this waitlist come through? We have a studio at BCV as our second waitlist option. We are planning to spend the day Saturday at Epcot so we'd really like to be in that area.Thanks for your insight!

Do you have enough points to book the existing Sat night at BWV? And not have issues with banking etc.? If so I'd do that and set up a waitlist just for the Friday night. Then if the Saturday disappears you at least have that and a waitlist for 1 night is more likely to come thru.

No, we don't have the points to book the one night. We are already borrowing from 2019 to make this trip. We are ok with staying at Kidani, it would just be a lot more convenient to be able to stay at BWV or BCV. Fingers crossed the waitlist comes through

You never know. We got 5 nights CL at AKL when everyone said it couldn’t be done. If that can come through with only 5 rooms, anything can....

So excited! The waitlist came through today! Now to try again. After the two night stay we are taking a cruise, then heading back to Disney for 4 more nights. Right now we are booked in a SSR studio for those 4 nights. Planning to waitlist for one of the studios that sleep 5. Any suggestions as to which one would be most likely to open up? Which resort has the most studios that sleep 5? I'd love to try Boulder Ridge. Don't have enough points for Poly. Thanks again for any insight

If not PVB then BWV pool/garden view is the largest category studio that sleeps 5. BCV would be second in size and then BRV I believe. BWV standard view 4th and finally BWV boardwalk view.

Trying to avoid hijacking the thread but want to clarify the comment above - I thought it would be possible to book one option and have them cancel that booking if a wait list comes through assuming the nights all match up - or is that not the case. Do you have to have the points free and not tied up in the backup booking for the same night for the waitlist to be filled?

Yes that's is how the waitlist normally works if you set it up to cancel an existing reservation. What I was suggesting was to optimize the chance to switch the room.
