Waitlist Help - December 13th

EDIT: For those curious and like an update - I put in a waitlist but ended up just stalking the site here and there. Managed to secure a Poly studio for the night I wanted and now have enough points left over for either an extra night or a night staycation next year.

Okay, so, I need some help from my fellow DVC members in determining what location might have the best luck for a single night in December - Friday December 13. We currently have a 1 bedroom at BLT for 1 night (December 13th). Originally, we were going to do the Christmas party, but have opted to forgo it. In turn, I'd like to possibly look at another resort since BLT really is only our go to resort if we're doing MK or a party.

Would we have better luck at Grand Floridian, Polynesian or Boulder Ridge? I'm not even contemplating Copper because I know it's so very limited in rooms. We have enough points to do any studio type, or a 1 bedroom at Boulder Ridge (or if you guys think we could get a 1 bedroom at CCV, I'd take the advice and toss it in). I know trying for a waitlist for a MK resort on a party night is rough. But I figure worst case is we stay at BLT.

We would do Animal Kingdom, but we're already staying there in October. And before moving over to BLT, we're already over at Beach Club for a few days.

Anyways, give me all the thoughts on what might be the best bet. I plan on putting in two waitlists and stalking to see if anything pops up.

Poly Standard View Studios has the largest pool of rooms available at 288.

The next largest would be Standard Location at SSR. There are 264 Standard Location Studios & 1-Bedrooms, but the issue is they are all part of 2-bedroom lock-offs. So for every 2-bed lock-offs that's reserved, there will be one less studio and 1-bedroom available.

Christmas season, both the grand and both of the wilderness lodge dvc's will be nearly impossible. Poly is by far your best choice. Maybe if you get really lucky you could stalk a 1 bdroom at brv but i think itll go as quickly as it appears.

I think any of the MK resorts will be harder than others but I agree the PVB studio might be a good try if you want to be in the MK area.

But, I think AKV and SSR are also good choices to come through.

Personally I’d likely try to waitlist whatever villa you’re already staying in at the BC because I’m not a fan of split stays - especially for one night at an MK resort when the MK will be closed to you due to a Xmas party which you aren’t attending.
But of your choices, the Poly seems most likely. BRV, while larger than CCV, is still pretty small. Maybe a lake view resort studio in BPK at the VGF as a second waitlist choice.
I’d also stalk the site.
