because our trip to DL was a last-minute things, we weren't able to snag dining reservations at all. is it impossible to get on the wait list for blue bayou, olga's cantina, or lamplight lounge? if there are wait lists available, what is the typical wait time for lunch? for dinner?

You have a decent shot at walk ups for Oga's and Lamplight. Check the app regularly once you're there. Slim to none for Blue Bayou.

I’ve had great success with Mouse Watcher alerts for Blue Bayou. That said, I have gotten lamplight walk up 2 x in recent visits, and will be trying for an Oga’s on Saturday (haven’t tried yet.)

Yes, it is. Usually around $4-$5. If BB is a priority I would consider using it. I have not had the same success with the free services.

For lamplight my suggestion would be to get there close to opening time (usually 11, although there is a brunch as well). Depending on your party size there is often availability at the bar. And do check the app the night before - lots of cancellations!

Oga’s was no problem last week for walk up, but they warn you (and it’s true) that you’ll be standing. My family of 5 were squished into a spot along the bar that was really for 3 (no stools). We still had fun, but it’s good to know it is not a restful stop! And my 7 year old couldn’t see much being about as tall as the bar.
