What are the chances of our waitlst coming through for August 3-10 for a standard view studio?

Are any days available? You can have 2 active waitlists, your chances would be better for fewer days.

There were 3 days available out of the 7. If I only wait listed for the 4 days would I still have to go to the GFV for the days that were not wait listed if wait list did not come through for the other 4 days?

You don't "have to" go at all. But if you have a reservation there for part of your trip, one would expect you would go there to use the room...VGF is pretty pricy point-wise after all.

My family actually likes a split stay, we find it feels like two separate vacations. We have twice already done split stays between VGF and AKV.

If you don't want to potentially move part of the way through your trip, then book the full stay somewhere else. But if you don't mind, a split stay is a lot of fun- and Disney will move your bags between the resorts for you.

50/50?

I don't know how to handicap those odds in any meaningful way. Every wait list success necessitates a cancellation. If someone else cancels a SV Studio for those dates AND you're #1 on the wait list....you'll get the room.

If there are already several people ahead of you on the waitlst, there will have to be multiple cancellations.

If there are zero cancellations, you have no chance.

Good luck.
