Hi

we have booked a one bedroom villa for OKW,may 3rd to 17th our home reort is BWV but were unable to get, we couldnt book any sooner. however we have been put on a wait list for BWV standard studio or one bed. what are the chances. reason I'm asking is we are going to get married this trip and just thought the BWV would be special. we could have had a preferred view one bed but didnt have enough points

It's hard to say, only about 20% of BWV rooms are standard. Did you check if any of your dates are available? That may give you a better idea of your chances. When did you get on the waitlist?

yes there about 5-6 doted around i even thought about staying there for the wedding night but the advisor said i would have to check in and out 3 times (it sounded complicated ).
i booked last tueday
does this sound hopeful,

To be honest, I would say less than 50/50. You're only 3 1/2 months out. I would keep calling to see if a string of dates open up, they will only process your waitlist if all the dates come open.

OKW is very nice, request a water view. They also have the big tub in the bathroom ;) .

We also own at BWV. I think we added a few days late one time and we could only get OKW. I was not thrilled, but once we got there, WOW! The one bedroom is fabulous! The balcony is huge, a full table with four chairs. The whole villa was huge with an entire room for the washer and dryer. The view was very nice from the third floor. The whole place is peaceful and serene. We ended up loving it there.

As a BWV owner there are a couple of things you should know in advance that are very different from BWV. The resort is very spread out so it helps to have a car, although not 100% necessary. Also, as great as our view was, there was no elevator and a few nights those stairs were a killer, not to mention when we were carrying all that luggage up and down. (I always overpack.)

If I were you, I'd check out the OKW threads and gather any info you can so you can make educated requests, like near Hospitality House, building with elevator if you'd like one, etc. We didn't for that trip but I am doing so for SSR because we have holding points that can only be used two months out, and I'm thinking that may be the only place with availability on such short notice. Better to be prepared, then if your WL comes through, great!

thanks
i have stayed at OKW before but when I was booking i was told that all the hospitality areas were booked and i would be in the quiet area, the resort had been divided into two. we have a car booked but the BWV would have been good i.e. epcot and being able to have some wine without one of us driving

Food & Wine festival is going on, which makes both BWV and BC even more popular, and you're trying to get 14 nights in a row PLUS standard view.
How about breaking it up into two or 3 separate reservations, which might make it a little easier. Then you might be able to spend at least part of your trip at BWV. Can you book some of the nights in the preferred view and then do the rest of the trip at OKW?

Good luck! And congratulations on the wedding. We'll be in OKW ourselves during part of your celebration....... and we LOVE OKW. It's very relaxing, and we quickly decided that space is a true luxury.
