Waitlist for ANY studio December 30 thru Jan 2--chances?

We are waitlisted for ANY studio at ANY resort on WDW property for December 30 thru January 2. Anyone experience the waitlist for this very popular time period?

New Year's Eve will be the challenge. It's the most popular night of the year and fills quickly.

Did you waitlist for the whole stay? If so, I think your chances are not very good.

Yes, we waitlisted for the whole stay as we are going to stay at Vero if we don't get a waitlisted room at WDW. No worries either way I suppose!

Fortunately I booked as soon as I could for our home resort (SSR). I do plan to try and move it to either OKW or WLV but really do not expect that to happen.
