Waitlist experience wanted

Hi,

We had a January 09 ressie for a 1 brm at Beach Club. Then friends decided to join us and we had to change to 2 -- 2 brms at SSR. So I borrowed almost all of our 09 (Oct UY) points to cover both ressies. But I couldn't get the first night for either 2 brms at SSR so I am waitlisted for both. So I kept the 1 Brm at BC for the first night for us.

Any ideas if the waitlists will come thru??? Anyone have any experience in this??

Here's my problem. If either of the waitlists come thru I currently don't have enough points left to cover it. So is a points transfer my only hope???

We only go to WDW once a year always in Jan. so I am willing to do a points transfer (for approx 220 points) and get points to cover the waitlist but also be able to use for next years ressie. So what UY would I transfer???

I would welcome any ideas.

Waitlists most often come through at the 31 day mark since if someone is going to cancel this is the last day they can cancel without their points going into a holding account.

As for the point situation, if you already borrowed all your 09 Oct UY points your options are to:

1) Rent points from another member

2) Pay another member for the points and have them transfer into your account

3) Pay cash for the nights needed.

I actually got a points transfer today!!! So now all I have to do is watch and wait for the waitlist to come thru..

I had a waitlist come through for a 1BR @ SSR for Jan 18 - had the day before and 6 days after. I originally had a cash ressie for OKW for the night of the 18th but I checked the DVC Member site earlier this week and the 18th @ SSR came through! Now we have to hope we can snag the same room for all 8 days.

MS often links the days automatically so you don't have to move. You should call and ask them to link all 8 days in case they didn't do it already. Congratulations on having your waitlist clear! Sweet!
