Waitlist chances for December 2016

Hi everyone,

I currently have a reservation for a studio at my home resort, SSR, for December 5-9, 2016. I have put in waitlist requests for OKW & BWV for the same dates, but am thinking of swapping one of those for an AKV value. What do you DVC pros think of my chances to get any of these?

There are only 18 Value Studios at AKV which are very popular because of the lower point requirement. Ten of the Value Studios are part of a 2-bedroom lock-off.

Stick with what you have!

There are fewer BWV standard villas than pool, lake view, so for better chances there, you should have that view.

I don't like your odds for an AKV Value. For OKW or a BWV Pool View, odds are considerably better.

AKV value studio - not likely.
Last year I managed to snag 3 nights at BWV and 3 nights at VGF (1 br.) for early Dec, but I checked the DVC availability tool several times daily and if a day I wanted opened up I grabbed it. I had wait lists, but had better success just stalking the site and piecing my nights together. It worked out, but took a couple of months to get what I was after - if you don't care as much re: what you get, then it may not be worth the time/phone calls to you.
