Waitlist Came Through!

I'm very happy to say that my waitlist came through and I did receive an e-mail. I waitlisted in early Feb (10 months out) for 12/2 through 12/7/18 at BWV. I had pretty much given up any hope that this request would be coming through but low and behold I got that magical e-mail saying it came through! I'm very excited, I think somebody sprinkled pixie dust on me! So far everytime I have put in a waitlist request it has come through. Don't give up hope!

Waitlisted the last two nights 4/4-4/6
Booked last two nights in a 1 bedroom just in case the studio doesn’t come through!!!

What dates in January?

I stalk the RAT daily ALL day especially during the week and for my dates January 4-12 I only ever see a day or two shown for AKVs.

Ive been trying to get a one/two bedroom at SSR for January 5-12 (just so happens I have January 4 booked separately since I had to stalk and get that date too) and nothing shows for Friday, January 4 as well as Friday, January 11 for any property. I do have a preferred studio for January 4-12 but now thinking a full fridge and washer/dryer will work best for three of us.

Resort Availability Tool (RAT). I am not interested in the AKVs but I see the inventory since Im on ALL day. I would be happy with a 1/2 bedroom at SSR but would be thrilled with Poly. I have 1 bedroom at SSR and Poly as my WL.

Right now there are I think four days together for AKVs beginning January 21. That inventory usually shows 1-3 days together but I cant find any resorts that have January 11. Im happy I have my full studio stay, its just my mom and 25 year old dd before she goes back to school, but would love a full fridge and washer/dryer.

I too am fine with my ressie-in-hand at SSR.
The only reason to WL-AKV for this trip is to save points for 2021, when we plan to grab a 3BR-GV for 6 adults and 3 grandkids.

Seven of us, which I thought was crowded but we also do two bedrooms for four of us so base it on that.
We stayed in Congress Park, I think, and we overlooked DTD, which I LOVED.

Thanks for the feedback. Thinking about Congress Park, but not sure if I want to pay the premium points.
We stayed there 2013, 2015, & 2016 without having to use more points. Last year, after we arrived, we were informed that our request for Congress Park could not be honored because they are now considered "preferred".
It would have been nice to alert us ahead of time, but we were able to get the very end of the Paddock section that was pretty close to the walkway to Disney Springs.
