So I booked a cruise for DH and I about a month ago. My mom passed in October and my dad said he wouldn't use all the points by himself and we had banked from last year, so had the option to use 3 years at once. I waitlisted Poly & BW for 2 nights. I was able to book a Saratoga room and then BW for the 2nd night. I was coming to terms with 2 resorts for the 2 nights we'd be there, but seemed simple enough. Well today they said my Poly 2-night came through! And only 7 more points than the other 2 resorts. I am so, so excited. We've requested 3rd floor so we have less of an obstructed view and we plan to take the monorail to Epcot on the full day we're there. Any other suggestions/tips? It will be our honeymoon vacation and DH's first Disney experience (minus our HHI stay in January).
Thanks!

Be patient with the monorail to Epcot. We took it from Grand Floridian on our last trip and it took over an hour from the time we left the room until the time we got into the park, plus we had to go through security twice. I’m not sure if that’s a normal thing, but we got super annoyed to get off the monorail ready to go into the park only to find out we had to go through security again. Of course the monorail is a nice way to get to the parks, it can just be frustrating and unreliable sometimes. For a newcomer, definetely take your time walking around the park and make sure to take pictures! Enjoy your trip!

@SherriNichole - Since you are at the Polynesian, you can simply walk to Ticket and Transportation Center and take the monorail from there, directly to Epcot. From the time you leave your room, it should take about 30 minutes. If you get on the resort monorail, yes, it will take quite a bit longer as you have to stop at the other hotels plus MK.
