Waitlist came through! OKW for New Years Eve!

I am happy- I get to try a new resort!

Question 1: My dad will have a scooter- do I have to call and ask for an elevator building or a 1st floor unit? I would prefer an upper floor room in an elevator building. Or should I just send an email request?

Question 2: Now that I am not at SSR and won't have quick access to the bus hub at DTD- what will be my best choice for transportation to the Contemporary for dinner- my guess would be bus to MK then Mono or Boat to CR- is this right?

Question 3: Does OKW do anything for New Years Eve?

From the MK bus stop you can just walk, or scooter over to the Contemporary. I'm sure that's faster and easier than boat or monorail.

With a scooter you'll need to be in either a first floor or elevator building. Only three buildings with elevators, so you need to get this added to your reservation as soon as possible. Otherwise, you may be leaving the scooter on the first floor (hoping no one takes it) or hauling it up the steps each day.

Congrats on your waitlist coming through. You should definitely call MS and request a building with an elevator or a first floor villa. I agree that walking to the CR would be quicker. The walk to the monorail station or boat will likely be longer than just walking to the CR. I think that you will love OKW!

Thanks for the replies- The busstop is pretty close to the CR. Sounds like a good plan.

Depending on whether you like to walk, walking from OKW to DTD is pretty easy ... only about 15 minutes (give or take, and depending from where in OKW you start)...also, there's a great boat ride from OKW to DTD (the dock is right behind Cap'n Jacks)...either of these options might turn out to be quicker and more pleasant than waiting for a MK bus...depending on when the MK bus comes, of course! As for getting from MK bus to CR...that's an incredibly short walk...probably equidistant from the furthest bus stop to CR as it is from that bus stop to the MK entrance!

Happy trip...I'm SOOOOOOOOO jealous...this despite having just been at SSR (for T-giving) and knowing I'm returning (to BCV) on 1/4!!!!
