Waitlist call question

I'm on a waitlist and I check DVC.com every day to see if it has come through. I see a lot of people on this forum call to check on their waitlist status and they find out there is a room available. How do you ask about that when you call? I just called and asked if they could see if there is a room available for our waitlist and he just said "there are no rooms". I know he didn't even look, so how do you get them to look for you?

Just call and ask for the CM to check availability for XX resort for YY date - the dates of your waitlist. If the CM says that you already have a waitlist for those dates, just nicely ask if they will check anyway. I have found rooms available that way.

I have called to be sure that I was on the waitlist for the correct days. I've never gotten a waitlist by calling, but recenly both of my waitlists have come through, so I'm on 2 more.
