Waitlist - Banking etc. question

Ok, I'm currently booked at SSR (home resort) for for nights in October at 35 points a night. My preference is BCV at 38 points a night and I am wait listed there and have had luck in the past despite it being F&W time. Although I'm still hopeful my second choice would be AKV at 40 points per night.

Now I have the points but some would be borrowed points in order to do the 40 points per night at AKV. If I book AKV on some borrowed points and my wait list comes through at BCV at 8 points less. What are my restrictions/requirements on those 8 points? I'm not sure if it even matters but this is for a March use year contract.

It's kind of funny I have a mental block when reading these restrictions/requirements.

Once the points are borrowed, they have to be used by the end of the March 2012 UY.

If you end up with 8 extra points, member services should be able to allocate the points for your reservation so that the borrowed points from the 2013 UY are utilized for this reservation, which would leave you with eight unused 2012 points. Then, if you don't need those eight 2012 points before Feb 28, 2013, you could bank them to your 2013 UY, providing this is all done before your banking deadline (10/31?). Of course, then those banked points need to be used in the 2013 UY.
