Waitlist at VWL, chances?...

I called today to request a Studio from Tuesday, 1/9/07 departing Friday, 1/12/07 at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. Has anyone had any experiences with waitlists at this time of year. I am starting to panic, as this is a reservation for my in-laws which needs to 'match' with someone else who's staying there.

Should be okay. This is a slower time of year. Could you make a WL reservation as a backup?

Do you have a back up ressy? I only ask because I was in the same situation as yourself last December - I desperately wanted to stay at VWL my favourite resort, but could only get Saratoga. I took SSR, but waitlisted for VWL, and it didn't come through.

But, I was in for a surprise, I loved SSR so much that I got a major add on there. It is now my favourite resort. I've stayed at VWL since and I loved it, but not as much as SSR.

I can honestly say, I was the number one WL fan too, but my advice to you is to make sure you get a ressie on property, and still waitlist for VWL. That way, if it doesn't go through, you'll still have a magical time.
