Waitlist and MS problem.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I called a little over a week ago to MS and tried to add an extra night to a ressie I had for a studio in HH in August. They said that all the studios for this night were booked. I asked to be put on the waitlist and the CM said, "the automatic waitlist", I said yes. She then told me if it came available I would automatically be booked and then I would receive a updated confirmation. So, today I call MS about another ressie I have, so I figured I would check to see if my waitlist had come through while I had them on the phone. The CM said I don't see a wailtlist for you :eek:. I said or you sure and she said there isn't anything under my name to indicate I was on the waitlist. She checked my ressie and nothing had been added. She then checked inventory and low and behold she had 3 studios available for that day. So, it worked out fine, but I was still a little mad that my request for the waitlist wasn't placed as promissed. I'm new at this, first ressie with my new points, but is this the norm for MS? I thought MS would be better then CRO.
 
We were just waitlisted for one night at a studio at BCV and we got it the next day without problems.

I have always found MS to be good and efficient. I can't speak for other DVCers though.
 
I have gotten my waitlist about 8 times all ready.

I am actually doing the waitlist happy dance today :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc since my Pres Week waitlist came through today. As the cash ressie I had (while on the waitlist) for $497 vs. 22 points wasn't something to smile about. Now I get 4 nights for less than the price of 1 cash ressie.

**To believe they are debating if there is any value to DVC on the Budget Board. My story is obviously proof positive but hey, to each his own.**
 
Perhaps we should retitle this: problems with MS. I had cancelled an extra room at the 31 day mark for a dec ressie. When I called later to check on a wait list I had, they told me the extra room had not been cancelled. So spent a lot of time with them getting it straightened out and points restored to my account. Also they did not have me on the 7 day WL which i had requested. Then when we arrived, my 2 BR wait list cleared so I had a back up studio to cancel for that night. MS kept saying that I was not cleared even though front desk said I was- so another rigamarole trying to get that straightened out. Learned to get cancel number and CM's name everytime you call cause thats what they kept asking- WHO did you talk to?? Heck if I remembered!
 

Sometimes it's good to make requests (like cancelling right at the 31-day mark) via email, so that there is a record of it.

I banked some points once, via email, but MS said they had no record of it. I gave them the approximate date of my email request, and they were able to find it, even though it was months later! And, they banked those points!
