waitlist advice needed please

We are waitlisted for a studio at Beach Club for September 25th thru October 3rd. I realize this is the opening weekend of Food and Wine as well as the 1/2 marathon race.
Are there alot of studios at Beach Club, or should I waitlist for a 1 bedroom as well? I really rather not do a 1 bedroom as it would eat a huge chunk of our points, but we'd really like to be at the Beach Club so I am willing. Just wasn't sure which room catagory would increase our chances. I only have the 1 waitlist going and can add another.

Thanks for your help. We're new to DVC last year and have not waitlisted before so unsure if it would work.

call them and see if you can get a 1-bedroom w/o a waitlist - you might.

but yes adding a 1-bedroom to your wl will help it. (just be sure that is not counted as your second request)

I did see if one was available already. I'm starting to feel bad for calling so much! I think it's the weekend of Oct. 1st thru 3rd that's getting me with all the activities going on. I will add the 1 bedroom waitlist as well. Thanks for responding.

It will be my second request though since the studio is waitlist number 1. Right?

Yes, this would be your second request. If you're just looking for Proximity to EPCOT you could also waitlist for a studio at Boardwalk. But to be honest, these are the two most popular resorts during that time of year and you're probably way down on the waitlist at this point. Best of luck though.
