This free dining has my head spinning! However, it may be a month before I know whether we can pull off an August vacation. Do you think it's safe to wait? Everyone's making their reservations with such urgency and it's driving me nuts to watch them. ;)

I would not wait. We are going 8/15- 8/19, I called about the dining plan and they had a standard room with the plan for AKL. I decided it against it though. An hour later, I decided to book it and think about it later, that tier was already sold out. They checked serveral other locations with no luck. So don't wait. You can cancel before 45 days without a penataly fee. Good luck.

DO NOT WAIT! RUN TO YOUR NEAREST PHONE AND CALL NOW!

I agree. Also, if you use your Disney Visa to book the package, you get 0% interest for 6 months on those charges. So, there's really no risk in booking now.

Yep we changed our reservation from July 31st - August 8th AKL standard to August 14-24th AKL pool view because there were no more standard rooms left. Unfortunately since we added two more nights as well, free dining is costing us ~$100 more then we were paying for the first reservation with paid dining.

So if you think you are going to go during the plan I would book as soon as possible as long as you can afford the $200 deposit.

I sure hope it's still available when the general public gets a chance to book it. I've changed my dates and everything. At least I'm lucky to have a job where I don't have to ask off. I can just tell them when I'm taking my vacation.

We are scheduled for a trip 4/19-4/29/06. Every penny is going for this trip and I won't have a spare 200 for another 4 weeks. I'm paranoid that the cheaper levels are going to be sold out. :sad2: I'm trying to decide if it's worth taking 200 out of our current trip's budget in order to lock in the deal. (sigh) I love disney, but this special is going to be the death of me! :goodvibes

They will open up another block of rooms I'm sure. I would call first thing in the morning though.

There are only a limited number of rooms for the free dining, so once it is sold out it is unlikely that anymore will open up.

Last year I couldn't get free dining for my dad at a certain resort and it never opened up.

All you need to do is put down a $200 deposit which is full refundable if you cancel MORE than 45 days out.

Besides, you won't be able to decide a month prior as the promotion can only be booked until June 4th.

That's what I was told too. I asked about more opening up on Tues and was told once the rooms are sold out there will be no more rooms.
I did grab the pool view last night and now I need to work the numbers to see if it is worth it for us.

I suppose if it's a double marketing technique then that would be true then. Meaning if they are trying to open more new DV accounts as well.

I have a DV and it's not my main CC, but I keep it around just in case I can use a deal they offer.

However, the CMs on the phone wouldn't know for sure whether more rooms will open or not for another code on Tuesday.
