Waiting, waiting, waiting...how long does it take?

We started our resale process in early April and we technically closed on 5/27, but Disney still does not have us in the system! I cannot believe how long it takes! Sorry, just have to voice my frustration since I have pending frequent flier tickets I need to reserve, family plans from 2 different states...argh!

If you already closed, you will normally be in the DVC system within a week. You might want to call your broker to see what the holdup might be. Make sure the deed has been recorded with the county and that Disney has been sent the appropriate information.

(I'd also call MS again this morning just to check again about the status of your membership.)

We passed ROFR the same day you did (5/9) and made it into the system with points available 3 days ago (6/7). I think we were slower than what the norm is supposed to be, but at least you are not too far out of (our) ballpark.

Were there any delays in the sellers submitting their signed and witnessed document over?

I called MS and got someone really nice, who put me on hold and spoke to Member Administration. I guess I am at the "top of the list" now and should be in they system today. Everything went SO smoothly until now, and I was told about a week to get in the system but it's been over 2 now...my patience was just wearing thin...

Been there, done that, and understand your frustration. Now might be the time to start thinking about an add-on. We bought into SSR instead of adding to our OKW though. See you on the other side of DVC ownership!

How do you find out if you're in the system? We just did an add-on, and don't need those points to make any reservation soon, so I'm not anxious. Just curious! Should I call MS just to find out, or call the realtor who handled our sale?

Mine closed on 5/31. I called today for the first time and I was not in the system, not even my name. So by using the sellers name they finally found it and said I should try back on Monday since it was in order but not in the system yet. I sure hope so.

I just called MS each day this week, and finally, I am IN! Yippee! I feel so "official" - finally!
