Waiting the ride the Dumbo ride PTR!!!

Well, since I only have 38 days before we go to Disney, I figure if I want to write a PTR I better get busy!! We are super excited here and are celebrating a birthday while we are there! I guess I should start by introducing the cast of players!!!

Me! I am Angel, a SAHM, who has been in love with Disney since I went as a child. We went once when I was about 8 or so and the only things I remember are 1. The Dumbo ride (still my favorite!) and the sky buckets. (not sure what those were called). I went once after that with a friend and her son and we had a blast!!! I have been secretly planning this trip for about 6 years. DH wanted to wait until our youngest (who is no longer our youngest) was 8 or 9. So when he turned 2 I started "planning"! When I found the Disboards, I was so happy that I could come and ask a question and have it answered by so many knowledgeable people. That is how I feel most of the time on here!!!

DH~ His name is Tim and he is a Pastor at a small Church. He has been to Disney before but it was with his ex and she complained the whole time! he has no good memories of WDW really and I plan on changing that!!!! He isn't on the Disboard even though I have begged him to come on here! I think he is in for a shock when he gets there!!

DD18~ Hannah is my step-daughter. She is currently in school to become a medical assistant. She was along for the trip with DH but was only 2 at the time and has no real memories of that trip. She went to Disney 2 years ago with the band from school but missed a lot of things! I think this time will be so much better and she will also be more tired this time too. This may be the last family vacation for us as she is dating a guy and they are really serious. They may be married by this time next year.

DS11~ Bailey is my oldest boy! He has wanted to go to Disney for a while! I told DH that we need to go this year before he hits "the age of not believing!" I want the MAGIC to truly have an affect on him! He loves soccer and basketball and is a pirate at heart!!!

DS9~ Sawyer is the one I was talking about when I said DH wanted to wait until he was 8 or 9! Well, we are going when he is 8 and leaving when he is 9! Can't get much better than that!! We are celebrating his birthday on the 30th!! He is over the moon excited about going! Everyday, he asks to see my count down ticker so that he can see how many days are left!

DD4~ Brenna is our little unplanned Blessing! She is a princess in every sense of the word! Her favorite Disney Princess in Belle and just the thought of meeting her sends Brenna into a tizzy!!! She has been "packing" since Christmas for this trip and the things that she is packing are just to funny!!! She packed 2 straws the other day because she and I might need them! She really is a sweetie!!!

Ok, so everyone has been fed and getting ready for baths so I have a few minutes for the next installment! Today has been rough for me. It is the anniversary of my mother's passing. I have been a basket case for a lot of the day. My husband got me out of the house for a while and a little sunshine helped A LOT!!!


So back to the PTR, we will be staying 4 days/ 3 nights. We also have the DxDP. We will be staying at All Star Music and since we have 6 in our group, we have 2 rooms. I tried to get the suite but it was booked! I have a couple of ADR's left to make but for the most part they are set.

We had a busy weekend here in the Smith household! Went to the park and lots of Church activities! But, the week has started and Monday's are usually slow here so I have a moment! I think I will give you all a little food prone this time of a trip I took about 2 weeks ago with some friends! We went to Bubba Gumps for dinner on the Friday that we got there and started with some appetizers.

These are called Hush Pups. They are kicked up hush puppies with corn, fish and shrimp in them! They are one of the best things!

I got the "I'm Stuffed Shrimp" It is Large shrimp stuffed with crab, baked in garlic butter and topped with Monterey Jack Cheese. Served with Jasmine Rice.

My friend Heather got the coconut shrimp. She said it was crispy and that the sauce was really light that she had to dip it in.

Denise had the Shrimpers delight. It is 4 different kinds of shrimp. I know it had (starting at top right corner) peel and eat shrimp, fried shrimp, tempura shrimp and coconut shrimp. It came with some sauces as well.

Patty had some kind of Shrimp dish served in a spicy broth and garlic toast. The broth was really rich and just the right amount of spices!

For dessert, we decided to have drinks! They are from front to back: A Pina colada, a margarita, the Blue Hawaiian, and a drink that is like a mudslide but it isn't called that at BG's. We passed the drinks around and thought we should have all ordered the last drink! It was cold, sweet, and had just the right amount of alcohol!

This was my first attempt at food porn and my friends tolerated it well! At first they thought I was crazy but then they caught on!

My youngest boy is asking how many days until....EVERY DAY!!! I told him when it reached 30 days we would put up a countdown sorta like we do at Christmas. He can't wait for that!

This trip we will be celebrating our sons 9th birthday! We told the kids at Christmas that we were going and when we told them the dates, my son was very happy to hear that we would be there on his b-day! Here is a picture of him when he realized!

He is the one that keeps asking "how many days". We are going to Animal Kingdom on his day because he is an animal FREAK! We are starting the day with breakfast at Tusker House and then going straight to the safari ride. Sawyer can't wait to see the animals "in the wild"! Seriously though I dont' know who is more excited him or me?!

We also have another surprise after we leave Disney. We are going to Daytona Beach for 2 days! The kids don't know it yet and Sawyer will be really surprised because we told them that this trip was all about Disney and we weren't going to the beach! BUT...DH can't go to Florida without seeng the ocean so we ARE going!!

Don't tell anyone but I am secretly pleased that we are going to the beach!

As you can see in the previous post, he is UBER excited! And I must say, if you have never been to Bubba Gump's, GO! It is so worth it! That hushpups are my favorite and I could make a meal of those!!!

We are down to 22 days out!! My children run through the house every night saying how many days are left! We have had a very busy weekend here. I am from Kentucky originally so this past Saturday was Derby day!!!!! We watched the races and grilled out and ended our day with a slice of Derby Pie!!! Sunday we went to Church and then took naps! I was wore out and really needed one. We went back to Church for evening activities. Once we cam home, the kiddos were playing and my little girl started screaming crying! I was up instantly! Hew finger was slammed in the door of the bathroom. I took her to the ER, they did x-rays and...sure enough...she has a fractured finger!!! So now she is wearing it in a splint. We have to take her to an orthopidic surgeon to see how long she has to wear the splint and how long it will take to heal. Should be fine by the time we go to Disney though. Here she is with her little finger all bandaged up!

I am sad that no one is following my PTR so I won't be continuing on with it.
