How do you all cope with waiting for responses from your wedding planners? Is it just me, or, isnt it hard? :grouphug:

I have the same problem right now! I feel like I'm bugging them sending them emails asking questions but thats what they are there for!
Also because I'm from Ireland, the huge time difference makes it hard to get a hold of her alot of times too :rolleyes1

I felt like this at first but once you start getting your estimated BEOs after your planning sessions you will see so many more responses. My planner is AMAZING, she responds within a few hours unless she's out of her office, then I get the out of office reply immediately.

When you get closer things really go very quickly. I've had 4-5 revised BEOs in 3 weeks, lol. They seem like they hustle once they have your minimum expenditure money ;)

I have a different opinion of my planner...I am less than 45 days till my wedding and I can send emails that go unanswered for days, even weeks! I have been highly disappointed with my coordinator and can only hope that it gets better!! I haven't even seen a BEO yet!!!!!!!

Yep. And, especially when your waiting for an answer, then you cant move on

ITA!! Patience is not my strong suit!

Oh my gosh, that's TERRIBLE!! I'd be calling EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. out of sheer frustration!

Sigh...the worst part is that my planner says, "cc my assistant who will respond quickly," .....but that never happens. :headache:

maybe you can help, the answer im waiting for is: how long do the tastings usually last for? a half hour, and hour, etc?

I think I'm just too impatient...

I'm asking questions regarding items so I can budget but no response or another out-of-office.

I seem to be grr'ing alot, but grrr.

My menu tasting was about an hour, we were happy with everything and didn't change anything so it went quickly. But if you are changing things, discussing options it may be longer.

My planning session at Franck's was waaaay longer. We got there at 1pm and left at 4:15.

wow i am surprised b/c his assistant is usually very quick with responses (within one day). i agree once you have your PS and start nailing it down, they respond more quickly. are you talking about cake tastings or food tastings? cake tastings usually happen as you are sitting in Franks going through everything. they bring whatever you want to taste to you. if there is something specific, tell them before hand. i wanted red velvet and cream cheese but had to ask for it. the food tastings(at least at the GF) usually last about an hour and a half. it is a LOT of food but so yummy. i have pictures of some of the food we tried in my PS if you want to see on pg 10. hope this helps!

My planner gave me a heads up that April is their busiest month and that she is out of the office most days at weddings - so to be patient if I'm trying to get a hold of her, (which is a nice heads up - then I don't get as stressed).
Floral was a different situation and I was becoming frustrated waiting for information on flowers and some pictures that were supposed to be sent nearly 3 weeks ago and I e-mailed her twice to remind her, and she just sent them last week - now I'm waiting on another response from her to schedule a phone call to make final decisions so I can eventually have a floral BEO! My wedding is in two months
So I can sympathise with all of you, but hopefully with April almost over the planners will have more time to respond to questions :thumbsup2
