Waiting on my PIN number--what do I need it for?

We just joined DVC last week, and I just signed and mailed back the paperwork yesterday. I received my temporary membership card in the mail, but the paperwork also mentioned that I'll get a PIN number separately in the mail. Do I need the PIN to call Member Services? What is it for? I'm guessing it's to log onto the member website, but I could be wrong.

It's for the member website. The first time you log in to www.dvcmembers.com it will ask for your Club Id and PIN number. Once you enter it, it will remember who you are after that.

Yep, it's just for the website and I'm waiting too.. impatiently I might add. :

But I have already made ressies via the MS phone number. I know the website allows you to manage your points (banking, borrowing, checking totals, etc) but you still have to call in to make ressies. Although I did partake in a survey that asked the important question "How would you prefer to make your DVC reservations?" and I said internet. BUT the latests member services rep I talked to was quite simply one of the most helpful CM's I have ever spoken to. And considering this is Disney where the service is usually fantastic, that is saying something!!

You can call MS and they can give you your PIN over the phone.
