Waiting on FD for Aug 2012

We are planning a late Aug (Aug 24-31) family vacation. We are a family of six. We love Stormalong Bay and we love Yacht and Beach club. As we will have to do two rooms, any discount will help. We love free dining and have done it in the past.

We will go regardless of any discount. Should I go ahead and reserve the rooms now and then hope to add FD or discount later? If so, should I book as a room only or a package deal?

If you are going no matter what, discount or not, you should probably go ahead and book. But, if you are staying at a Deluxe, a 40% off room code is generally better than a free dining discount - unless everyone in your party is 10 years or older, so you have to run the numbers to see.

If there is a room discount, can I apply it to two rooms? We are a family of 6. I guess I could split the reservation and put my husband on one room and me on the other? Would they still do connecting??

I don't think there is any limit to the number of rooms you can book under a general public discount - whether it be a room discount or free dining. If you receive an email pin code then you can book up to 3 rooms under that discount code. We are also a family of 6 and we always get 2 connecting rooms, and I always book and/or add a discount and you don't need to do 2 reservations.
