Waiting List for BWV?

I finally decided to buy into DVC and was just put on the waiting list for BWV - 160 points . CSR said I should be all set and have to wait just a few weeks. Anyone have experience with the wait list? How long have others waited for BWV? Any comments appreciated. Thanks

We waited about 5 minutes while our guide checked to make sure there were still points left from the morning allotment for 50 points March UY, about a month ago. (Did the same thing yesterday for VWL.)

They seem to have a fairly steady supply of points available, so your wait shouldn't be long.

I didn't have to wait at all for 200 BWV points 1.5 weeks ago. I told them that I would take any UY. If you specified a UY, you may have to wait a bit for specific points to come open.

I just got 125 points at BWV. I wanted a Feb. use year and I waited exactly 2 weeks to the day. My guide called me the following day a Saturday to let me know. Actually I already knew because it was posted on the DVC member website.

I called in March for 200 bwv points and I did not specify a U/Y and guide checked computer and said " there you go , you got points" took about 2 minutes. Good Luck

I'm adding 130 pts. at BWV's and have been waiting for about 3 weeks so far. My guide told me that at times, it's just a couple of days and at others it's months.... I'm waiting for a Sept. use year... (already have 180 pts there with a Sept use year.)

went on waitlist on May 24-- they came in On May 31-- for June use year.

It definitely depends on use year. I sought to buy December points at BWV in early April. None were available (and I think others were on the wait list ahead of me) but I could have gotten other months. A month later, I found a resale, which closed this past Monday so I pulled myself off the wait list. After 2 1/2 months, I never got a call from DVC with the December points (although they did try to persuade me -- several times -- to buy SSR).

We added on 100 pts and had to wait only a week, then added 110 points later and waited about 6 weeks to 2 months. Not long and it's worth the wait!

Last June got our 200 BWV, Dec use year with no wait.

I'm considering adding on at BWV. What is Disney rate per point right now? I'm curious because the timeshare store has some pretty good contracts listed on their website.

I paid $95 per point as a new member. I have heard that it is $92 per point to add on - but am not certain on that pricing.

I'm on the waiting list for BWV, 120 points with an April UY. My guide didn't know how long it would be, but I check daily to see if my credit card has had any transaction yet. I think if the OP doesn't have a specific UY in mind, their chances are better. However, my guide said there were April UY points available for WLV--which was a temptation too! I was quoted $92 a point and no closing costs.

Update: I called my guide on Friday 6/23 and today 6/26 I have one of my contracts on my account. My guide suggested I break up my request to several smaller contracts as one big one is harder to get. I only wanted 120, so said yes I would accept several smaller ones with the same April UY, well just 1 business day later, I now have my first smaller contract of 50 points. I guess I'll check my dvc account regularly. I did know my guide was on vacation this week as she told me last week, but checked my account and my first new set of BWV points are there....now I just wait for more. My cc had also been charged the deposit this evening too!!
