Waiting List for AK Kidani - Can I trust them?

When I made my reservation several months ago 2 of 7 nights were full at AK Kidani (1 BR Savannah View) so we took Jambo house and got wait listed for Kidani.
It was stressed rather clearly to me - mentioned multiple times (always friendly) there was no need to call that the system would automatically move me if space opened up.

Can I trust this? Will the system really move me reliably or do I need to call?

I'm hoping when the new section opens on Sept 1st I will get moved over - but I'd expect reservations to already being taken so it would have already happened???

Any info on what to expect from being on a wait list is greatly appreciated!

Yes, you can trust them. We've used the wait list many times and our success rate is probably 75% or better.
