My son plans to purchase a psp (from what i gather it is a game system that can be quite pricey) from "a guy", and I was wondering if it would be a good idea for him to bring it with him to the parks to occupy himself while in line(that is, if we(I) decide to go). He is never without a backpack,, so carrying it around isn't a concern.

Well, he's getting it at a largely discounted price(50 dollars i believe), so hes going to be purchasing it anyway.

We took gameboys for our kids and they turned out to be great for the long waits in lines, and for parades/shows. I would be sure to get a waterproof case or make sure it's in a baggie.

DD9 brings her Gameboy/whatever version we have now...with us many times. In fact last week when Dsis was visiting with DGreatnephew6, we stopped at the Gamestop on the way to AK and purchased him one as well. This way both DD and DGN had them - it kept them occupied (along with two bottles of bubbles) while we waited for the AK parade, and they also played them while we waited for Illuminations.

I don't see it as being an issue while waiting in lines!

My DS bought the PSP around Thanksgiving. It really is fabulous. It has allot of great games that go along with it AND they have message boards for the PSP on playstation.com.

The PSP is very $$$ brand new...$199.00 I believe. My DS is 20yo and bought it for himself. The games are pricey as well $29-59....

It will be great on the plane as well as in your room at night to play while winding down after a full day.

Whatever you decide to do, (taking it to the Parks), do not let it out of your sight. It is very popular. Buy the carrying case for it as well, so that nothing happens to it, like scratching the face of it.
