Waiting for SW to update their site...

Just checked SW site. Fares went from $114 to $99..that's more like it. Oh by the way that's from Islip to MCO

He who hesitates is lost - checking SW fares from PIT to MCO on 1/16 in the early morning yesterday & all fares were listed as $ 84.00. I was happy with the fares, but was not sure on the time b/c DW works on Saturdays and would miss two Saturdays if we took an AM flight. Later in the day, I decided on the AM flight & it was then listed at $ 124.00 I booked the early afternoon flight which was still at $ 84.00, thinking I could make a change later if the price for the AM flight drops.

I've very happy with the fares I booked yesterday. I haven't seen SW this low out of Dulles (Wash) to MCO in a very long time. $54 each way....I booked my January and March trips. I also had a $160 credit, so that really cut the price down too! With this price, I don't even have to watch for a ding (though I've never gotten one).

keep checking those prices - many folk who grabbed the low prices have been adjusting their times or dates... I keep seeing the $79 early am flight out of PVD pop up and then disappear.

I'm one of them who have this booked but would love to ditch it - A 35 min layover to change planes in a big airport is a recipe for disaster, particularly since I tend to have my transfer gates a mile apart whenever I'm at BWI. Why their site gives this as an option I have no clue.

I booked today for $461 r/t per person. I am so sick over it. I am just hoping a cheaper fare opens up. I will keep checking. Even the Southwest rep was surprised.

We're flying the week of Jan 29th to FLL not to MCO. But I think the following weekend is Super Bowl so maybe there are alot of people booking for Miami with the hope that Super Bowl is there??

The 2010 Superbowl will be held in Dolphin Stadium on Feb 3, 2010. It's certainly possible some people planning on attending the superbowl will fly in a week before. I wouldn't count on getting deeply discounted fares to FLL on Feb 1 or 2.
