Waiting for points to post to our account...

We were notified by TTS that our contract closed it is already registered on the OCC site they also said it will take 14 to 28 day days for Disney to get us onto their system

Got my Member ID today AND booked a split stay from Sept 27-28 (AKL) and Sept 29-Oct 1 (OKW) on points and then had to pay cash for (OKW Oct 2-4 as no DVC rooms avail. So excited!!!

AND MS did give me my info over the phone :) it was on the 20th day after deed recorded. SO excited! Yay!!!

We were waiting on resale points to come through and had thought that we would end up with 2 different profiles online since our two contracts have 2 different use years. Was I shocked this morning when I logged onto DVC and saw our points sitting in there. Yes we have 2 different member numbers but I can see them both from my dashboard which I wasn't expecting. Looking at the activity log for that contract it shows they were posted March 17. Our deed was recorded March 6. Was very happy to be able to book a reservation at AKL for July this am!

waiting to pass ROFR. Had asked MS how it'd work with two different UYs, the CM I spoke to wasn't sure.

maybe they are processing existing member's resale add-ons quicker.

DenLo any luck yet? Our stuff went to Disney on 3/20, its just killing us. I honestly think resales take a back seat and Disney lets them sit as long as possible so people buying direct have a better experience. I truly believe they are trying to give resales a bad reputation.

I guess paying an extra $40 per point gets you to the front of the line. Our sale was accepted on 1/27 made ROFR by 2/27 and closed around 3/19.......

Points posted to account last night on 4/8/2014

from accepted offer to points in my account= 72 days

of course they are or at least dragging their feet for the full time permissible if not longer from what I'm reading on the thread here:bitelip:, but seriously, why would they make it easy to buy a resale when they have inventory to sell?
Good news is our new contract was added to our existing account;
Bad news is it had no points in it.
Called MS and was told it could take up to another week for the points to "drop" into our account.

odd

But it is really not the DVC owner that is treated differently, is it? The points that are bought are what has restrictions. I own both resale and direct and can use my direct without the restrictions.

The only thing I can think of that is really different iis the members cruise which does not allow someone with only resale points to book.

We bought resale, then added on thru DVC for another contract/resort. Was told grandfather'd in pre-change & have ability to book the member cruise.

If we pass ROFR and add new resort, I'm going to assume those 'new' points/different UY contract wouldn't be available to combine to book cruise.:confused3

One of the contracts we purchase shows recorded on the orange county comptroller site dated May 1st however both the Notice and the Deed show : This document is being processed, the information displayed is subject to change.

How long are documents at this stage? I found it strage since the other contract we purchased was fully registered on the occ site on the 29th and it never showed this.

While a deed is showing this workflow status, does it mean that it has not been sent to Disney yet to work on the member ID number?

. It took my documents about a week to change status on the Orange County Comptroller site from being processed to being shown. I do not think the time on OCC makes a difference on Disney's end. It took us 12 days from recording to see our contract online and the points loaded into the account a day after that. We were already members with an online account and had purchased a resale contract with the same use year as our other contracts and had it deeded the same as the others.

Yes, just under two weeks for me, from being recorded to the account being created in Disney's system.
