Waiting for January deals... August? Really?

I see some deals out there for late December... will it really be another 3 months before any new deals/pins come out? That seems like quite a big gap between offers. ((And I am terribly impatient!!))

The actual pricing for 2011 (rack rates) won't even be released until August, so they can't release discounted pricing before they have the rack rates set for the rooms....

If you look at Mousesavers you will find a listing of historical WDW release dates for rack rates, package rates, room only rates and discounts. I find this site very helpful. I remember the 4/3 deal for this past January came out on Sept 28!

Yippee, another impatient one! Thought I was the only one, we are going in January as well, it will be the "kids" Christmas present and am hoping to jump from the mods to a deluxe and sooo badly want to know if i can, but have to wait what seems like an incredible amount of time to find ou. Feel like a bigger kid then the "kids" i have. One is 14 and the other is 20 and her boyfriend that we totally adore is 21 and it will be his first trip. We have been 5 times and the 20 yr old has been 6 times and they really want to go back again and the 21 yr old bf really wants to go, won't they be suprised to find this under the tree??
