waiting for approval (how long?)

sent in the paper work for 200 pts. at SS. Disney received it this morning (checked tracking) Can any one tell me about how long it takes to get a reponse for financing approval?
Keeping my fingers crossed.

I just bought 200 points also. I just checked and the date on the papers I signed was Sept. 7th. The date on my approval letter was Sept. 10th. So they processed it immediately. Hope this helps.

I called a week after it was sent and found out it was approved. In fact, FedEx on a Thursday and called that following Friday. I'm sure you can find out sooner...just call Quality Assurance.

I signed in late August while visiting WDW but needed to come home and send them more financial info. This added a couple of weeks to the process i'm sure. I got my approval about a week ago. So about 3 weeks all told...but at least 10 days for arriving back home then sending back the info.

I bought into SSR 2 weeks ago(I think) and haven't heard back yet, I was just waiting for something to come in the mail...It's good to know I can call and check, I'll have to do that tomorrow!Thanks guys!

They even forgot to send me some paperwork but did take care of it by fax! I was approved yesterday and they phoned to let me know.

Got add on approval letter just recently in less than a week in the mail from when I fed exed my paperwork. very quick!
My orginal purschase took about two weeks. I was getting nervous, but finally called and it turned out my fax I had sent them for the loan was misplaced. Turns out the very thing I did to try to speed things up slowed me down. I shoudl ahev just mailed it in with the paperwork. If you all QA like others have mentoned they can tell you the status. I'd wait about a week from when you sent your apperwork in.

Sent in FedEX application: Thursday, September 11th.
Called Quality Assurance: Friday, September 19th.
Received official letter in mail: Monday, September 22nd.

Talked to dvc guide today, She said no word yet on approval. (3rd day) I can't wait to hear something.

By the way I changed my use year from Feb to July. Makes better sense being that I mostly travel Sept. thru Dec.

cooz I didn't know that you're able to choose your use year month. How do you know which is a good month to choose?

I sent in my initial paperwork for a Feb 1 use year. A few days later I called my guide because I was thinking a later use year would be better for me. She called me back about an hour later and said July 1 use year is available. They now have to send me all the paperwork over again. You can do it as long as the closing process hasn't started yet. I travel mostly from Sept. to Dec. I would have had to inform them to bank some of my points by july 31 with the Feb. use year. So if I decided on a whim in august to take a vacation in November, it would have been to late to use all my points. Now with the July 1 use year, I have till the end of Dec. to do any banking.

cooz Thank you for your answer. We are still mulling it over whether to buy SSR or not. If we do, I think a July use year may work better for us. I think our usual traveling would be Aug through Nov, every other year.

Now a question for anyone...if you are pretty sure a year ahead of time when you're going to be going, does it make much difference when your use year month is as long as you make sure you're doing the right banking/borrowing?
