Waiting for a Rental

I'm stressing out about waiting for a rental to become available. Is there a chance that some become available once the 7 month window opens?

What are you waiting for?

To rent, you need two things; a room to be available and someone with points available. Beyond 7 months, you need someone who owns points at the particular resort where you want to stay. Once you hit 7 months, any points can be used, so you'll have many more options on that front, but at the same time, desirable rooms can be booked very quickly at that point. That might leave you out of luck. Your best bet is to find someone with the right points and book it as soon as possible.

It sounds like your concern is that your rental broker does not have home resort points for your desired booking.

It's possible that someone who owns the home resort points will come to the broker looking to rent before your 7-month window. Otherwise, the broker will need to wait until the 7 month window, at which time any points can book any available room.

If the room itself isn't available, sure, it COULD come available as DVC members shift bookings at 7 months, but it's less likely if you are looking at something in October or November, which are hard months for many bookings.
