Waiter follows you on Cruise Ship?!

You share them with other families and yes, they do follow you throughout the cruise! The main benefit is supposedly that they learn what you like/dislike etc, but I have not personally found this to be true. Of our three cruises I have always ordered the exact same tea each night for example, always Jasmine, and always go through 3 or 4 cups of hot water, and none of them have ever had it waiting for me - they always ask what I would like as if I were any other person at any other restaurant. They have also never figured out that yes I will need more hot water! :sad2: I'm not saying this to be mean, but just don't want you to go in and be disappointed if your servers don't pull this bit of magic off. ;)

I think it can be how vocal you are about it. My then 8 year old hated kids' menus. After being told by us as we prepared for the cruise that he could choose anything on the menu, he was so disappointed that he got a kids' menu when we actually went to our first dinner, he started to cry. Our server asked what was the matter, we explained the situation and never saw another kids' menu for the rest of the trip.

They are not mind readers. Sharing what makes an personal experience special is often how the magic happens.....

The thread title makes it sound like the waiters are stalkers. :tiptoe::smooth:

I'm not making fun, I thought it was cute.:goodvibes

I totally agree, it can be hit or miss. It could just be me, but it seems like the servers were better at remembering (for some odd reason) when there were still just two ships. But then, until the Dream came along, we had only taken week long, 10, 11 and 14 night cruises....so maybe it's just on the shorter cruises that they don't pick it up as well. :confused3

They are stalkers in a fun way. :)

I once noticed one of my servers working at one of those late night locations near the bars/clubs serving quesadillas. I said hi, talked for a moment and I mention something about him working too hard. He asked if I wanted a quesadilla and I said no thanks because I am still full from dinner (I had late seating). As I walked away he chased me down with a plate full of quesadillas telling me to take them back to my room to enjoy later. I found myself eating quesadillas while watching a movie in the theatre. I must have gained 10-lbs on that cruise.
