Wait! Where's your wedding ring? An Oct. 2013 Disneymoon TR Updated 5/7!

LOVED the updates, especially Franklin's Philharmagic photos!!! :cool1: Those were awesome!!!:worship:

Someone had mentioned about using the FP+ area for watching the parade. I have to say that we did that as well as for Wishes. The area for the parade was great!! Not so much for the Wishes spot which was blocked by the trees on the right side facing the castle. So use a FP+ for the parade and then just stay put right there for the castle show and Wishes, is my recommendation.

Your dinner at V & A looked wonderful but different. I am not sure I am that brave to try all those foods, but desert looked to die for.:worship:

Those Philharmagic photos are spectacular! Lately I've been having dreams of photographing unseen parts of WDW, haha. Like in my dreams, there are new attractions that I haven't seen before, and I feel that it's my responsibility to snap pictures to share with others, but I keep having trouble with my cameras. The funny thing is that I don't even focus much on photography in the parks because Howard does it! I like taking video. But after all these dreams, I'm so intrigued! I might not be ever taking pictures of 3-D shows, but I'm really getting interested!

I knew it! Totally was guessing V&A when you described as epic! Looks a-maz-ing! And totally epic!

Epic definitely described that meal! Victoria and Albert's exceeded our every expectation. We're even toying with the idea of trying Chef's Table on our December trip!

Whoa, that place looks AMAZING! I so want one of those tea brewers! Looks like a great place to celebrate your honeymoon :)

I want one of those brewers, luckily V&A has business cards of where you can buy them! Apparently they get asked a lot. :rotfl:

Franklin, thank you SO much for that run-down. I had no idea a CP would do the trick. I'll have to play with this sometime. Although my T2i at 6400 ISO won't be pretty, it will still be fun to play with.

Loving the photos. All of them. Just amazing work.

Can't wait to see how the new trick works out for your photos! :thumbsup2

Our anniversary date is October 25!

We some how missed Philharmagic on our trip and after seeing your pictures from it I have to go see it!! Looks awesome.

Yay for October weddings! Definitely try Philharmagic on your next trip, it's well worth it.

I really wasn't sure if F&W would be of intrest to us (I guess I just haven't done enough reading on it) but after reading a few trip reports it is something I'm looking forward to now.

OMG, Food and Wine is my absolute favorite time to be at Disney. There's nothing better than just wandering the World Showcase in the beautiful sunshine, stopping for any snack that strikes your fancy. Throw in the culinary demonstrations and the concerts, it makes for a one-of-a-kind Disney trip!

Victoria & Albert's looks AWESOME! And that tea thing looks so cool. I wish I drank tea just so I could get it.

Thanks for adding the link to your facebook page that's really nice.

Your trip looked awesome can't wait for the next update. I'm going to have to go back and read your previous TRs!

Thanks, we love interacting with everyone here on our TRs, so the Facebook page makes it easier to keep the conversation going!

Joining in:) love your trip reports Missyrose!!

Thanks Stacy! :goodvibes

wow, your V&A pictures put ours to shame :rotfl: We had a number of the same courses - especially among the early courses. Everything was so amazing!

"So instead of getting six-courses’ worth of wine for one person, we each got wine with three courses. It was perfect!" .... ok, so next to you we must look like alcoholics as we each got the wine pairings, plus a bottle of champagne to start :rotfl2:

We had gotten coffee there and they use a very similar contraption to brew the coffee at your table - very cool, and amazing coffee! Glad you enjoyed your tea though!

Glad you enjoyed your night out - definitely a wonderful experience!

After having all the yummy wines at V&A's I could definitely be persuaded to do a pairing for each of us next time. Although if we do Chef's Table, 10 glasses may be a tad too much.

I enjoyed reading about your fun meets with Talking Mickey and the princesses. You really had some great interactions on this trip.

:worship: on the Philharmagic pictures. Just blown away!

Love the Big Thunder pictures and your castle photo shoot.

I'll come back soon to read about your fantastic meal at V&A.

We had fantastic interactions with both the characters and cast members on this trip. The bride and groom ears are a real conversation starter! People wanted to know all about the wedding, the proposal, pretty much everything!

Love the BTM shots!
So that's what Victoria and Albert's looks like on the inside. No Honeymoon is complete with a fabulous meal to celebrate! Can food be described as gorgeous? Cause that is what the food there looks like!

The food was absolutely gorgeous! And so was the restaurant. V&A's was an experience unlike anything we've ever experienced before. It was really the perfect way to cap a fabulous Disneymoon.

Wow! Victoria and Albert's looks divine! What a great way to end the Disney portion of your honeymoon! :) (and I think this is the first time I've ever heard you be so enthusiastic about a wine!)

The wine was To. Die. For. So yummy!

Enjoying your trip report. The photo's are wonderful. I really, really need that tea brewer!! LOL !

Thank you!!! Here's the link where you can buy the tea brewer!

Whoops! I missed this TR by a bit but I'm caught up now and subscribed!

You're just in time Wendy! Thanks for joining in again!

I  food porn and this is about as good as it gets!

What amazing pictures of an incredible sounding meal.

That was a super idea to split the wine flight. It sounds like the amount was perfect.

The tea also sounds delicious and the brewer was really interesting. I hope the waiter poured your cup for you- I would have NO idea to get the tea out of there.

Sorry to hear that the Disney portion of your trip is wrapping up, but I look forward to reading about Aruba.

:beach:

Yes, the waiter poured the tea for us. They REALLY won't let you lift a finger at that meal. It was wonderful! All about Aruba is coming right up!

Loving the TR! Beautiful wedding and wonderful pictures.

Thank you so much Lindsey! We finally ordered our wedding album a couple of weeks ago. I cannot wait to see how it turns out! :cloud9:

I finally read the entire TR and it was a wonderful one again. You're writing background lends very well to trip reports! Then when I got towards the end I thought "Man I never get on the DIS anymore, but I wanna know when they're going again so I can read the next TR!" and sure enough, I see your Facebook page promo! So excited!

You both look so wonderful at your wedding. I am so envious you live in DC, it's one of my favourite vacations I've ever taken! :thumbsup2 A very late Congrats from me!

Thank you! I really do love writing these TRs. It's like you get to take your trip twice!

And thanks for joining us on Facebook! That page gives us a good place to alert people when there are new TR updates that have been published. It'll be a pretty busy page in a couple of weeks. :woohoo:

Fantastic update per usual!! Is there anywhere else on property that one could buy a cup of that tea or only at VA?

I am dying to find out the answer to that very question. I'll be at GF a couple of days into my upcoming trip, I plan to ask around then! I'll let you know what I find out.

This photo is so adorable!! :groom::bride:

Like everyone else, I looked at those Philharmagic photos over and over! Amazing!!!:3dglasses
And Franklins knowledge on how to take the photos and see only one image was very interesting!

Your Victoria and Albert meal looked so lovely! I want to try that truffle bread and butter! YUM!

Loving the report.[/QUOTE]

Thanks! Oh man, that truffle bread. I have seen that bread pop up a few times in my dreams since we came home. It was heavenly.

LOVED the updates, especially Franklin's Philharmagic photos!!! :cool1: Those were awesome!!!:worship:

Thanks for reporting back about the FP+ spots for the parade and Wishes. Next time, what you could do is FP+ for MSEP and then, as soon as the parade is over, scoot back closer to Main Street for a truly spectacular view of Wishes!

Here's my foodie confession, for a long, loooooooong time, I was terrible at trying new foods. But about five or so years ago, I decided I was missing out and made a conscious effort to try things outside the box. And I found that I liked a lot more than I thought I would! Now, I'll try almost anything (within reason). Raw meats and fishes can still freak me out, but I'm starting to enjoy sushi more. I was so excited to try all those exotic things at V&A's, it made for an adventurous meal!

Those Philharmagic photos are spectacular! Lately I've been having dreams of photographing unseen parts of WDW, haha. I love finding hidden nooks and crannies at Disney. It can be fun to find things to photograph that you haven't seen a million other times in other people's photos.

It's kind of like the character hunts I'm planning for the solo part of my trip. I've never spent a day at Magic Kingdom when rides are not on the agenda. It'll be a great day to meet characters and enjoy the details of the park!

Welcome back friends! We last left off with a truly spectacular final meal at Disney: Victoria and Albert’s.

The next morning, Franklin woke up ridiculously early to capture Yacht Club in all her glory.

Here’s the club level:

By the time Franklin was done with his photo session, it was time to gather our stuff and make our way to the airport. Our honeymoon wasn’t over, we were just switching up the locale. It was time for Aruba!

We hopped on an early flight out of MCO and by lunchtime were at the Marriott in Aruba! I’ve been to Aruba a dozen times, I just love that island. I brought Franklin there for the first time in 2009 and we had an amazing trip! This trip was equally memorable: fun in the sun, fantastic meals and some quiet, relaxing time for just the two of us.

I won’t bore you with a minute-by-minute account of this part of the trip, but I thought I’d bring some of the highlights.

Like I said, we stayed at the Marriott. It’s my home away from home when I’m in Aruba.

DSC_1948-L.jpg

Dinner our first night was at Madame Janette, one of our favorite restaurants on the island. It’s gorgeous, the food is amazing and you get to eat under the stars!

DSC_1971-L.jpg

The first thing we did was toast our new marriage!

DSC_1975-L.jpg

DSC_1987-L.jpg

The biggest change at the resort since the last time we stayed there was the addition of an adults-only pool. It was, quite literally, the perfect place for us to hang on our honeymoon. It was delightfully quiet. The lounge furniture was really comfy. And did I mention it was quiet?

DSC_2054-L.jpg

The beach wasn’t half bad, either ;)

DSC_2177-L.jpg

I just dislike sharing my lounging space with these guys. They freak me out. And I’m pretty convinced they’re plotting to take over the world.

DSC_2077-L.jpg

We got a little surprise from the hotel so we could do our own toast!

DSC_1997-L.jpg

Which we enjoyed during sunset.

DSC_2110-L.jpg

We did our best to do the obligatory Pinterest-inspired “rings in the sand” photo.

And did I mention all the killer food? There was a lot!

And while it was sunny most of the week (and I had the sunburn to prove it!)...

DSC_2155-L.jpg

… there was one day when it rained in a way I’d had never seen in 12 previous trips to Aruba.

DSC_2221-L.jpg

DSC_2223-L.jpg

DSC_2226-L.jpg

DSC_2232-L.jpg

We thought it would have to end quickly, it’s an island where it hardly ever rains, after all. So we stuck it out for about an hour and a half under the cover of a cabana. But once we realized it wasn’t letting up, we bolted for the room for a rainy afternoon of reading and movies. It ended up being a lovely way to spend the afternoon!

Aruba lets you eat in some gorgeous locales. There was dinner under the stars at Madame Jannette. A dinner under a canopy of trees and surrounding a beautifully lit pool at Papiamento.

DSC_2163-L.jpg

And we had a lovely dinner right on the beach, crabs crawling around our feet and all!

DSC_2208-L.jpg

DSC_2209-L.jpg

It was the perfect second half of a perfect honeymoon. We started our lives as husband and wife in a pretty spectacular way.

DSC_2267-L.jpg

When it was time to leave Aruba, we were sad, but very ready to get back to our lives. Between all the wedding festivities and then the long honeymoon, it had been a crazy few weeks! But it was all so very worth it!

Thank you all so much for taking this trip with us, we love sharing our adventures with you!

We’ve got another Disney trip coming up in just 12 days! So if you’d like to follow along with our trip, or want to continue the fantastic Disney discussions we’ve started in this TR (or if you ever need trip planning help from Franklin and I), come join us at our Facebook page: The World of Yesterday, Tomorrow and Fantasy.

How much am I drooling right now??? :goodvibes

Fantastic Yacht Club photos, a beautiful tropical locale and scrumptious food porn!!!

I actually just scrolled quickly through the pictures and I will come back later and take my time, but WOW!

BTW- I did that same early morning safari at the Beach Club in July, club lounge and lobby with no people, but my pictures are all yellow!!!

:sad2:

The Yacht Club lobby is beautiful! Great idea to get up early and take some pictures before it's full of people. :thumbsup2

I'm so glad you included some pictures from Aruba! Looks like a spectacular way to cap off a busy Disneymoon, with a little relaxing in paradise. :goodvibes As always, I really enjoyed following along with your trip, Missy! I'm looking forward to seeing what you post on Instagram (I'm disneymom1024 on there) while you are there, and of course, even more to the TR that will follow!

Franklin did a wonderful job capturing the beauty of the YC. It always seems a little dark to me but those pictures make it look bright.

Are you going back to Food & Wine this fall? We are going to go in October. It will be our first time and we are really looking forward to it. :goodvibes

I love your Aruba pictures. One thing we love about tropical vacations is being able to dine outdoors. There is something really nice about it, especially if tropical breezes blow all the bugs away. ;)

Beautiful pics of the lobby of the Yacht Club! Yacht and Beach club are my two favorite resort lobbies to visit especially around the holidays. Looks like you both had a wonderful time on your fabulous honeymoon! I'm so jealous! My honeymoon was not so fabulous probably because we were too young kids fresh out of college! Oh well, I think I found my Prince Charming now so who knows!:goodvibes
I love your pictures from Aruba. Have never been but would love to go some day. The water looks gorgeous!! Thank you both so much for sharing your trip and looking forward to following along for your next trip!:thumbsup2

THANKS FOR SHARING your GORGEOUS pics of Stormalong Bay!
My favorite pool!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Love your pics of the remodeled Marriott in Aruba! :thumbsup2

We were there several years ago, spent 5 nights in the MarriottAruba Surf Club, then 2 nights in the Marriott next door! HAD A BLAST!

WOW, REMODELED MARRIOTT LOOKS AWESOME! WOULD LOVE THE ADULT POOL!YAY!:thumbsup2:cool1::cool1:

My "older" two sons and my husband and I love ARUBA! Great restaurants,
great beaches, great weather! HOPE TO GET BACK THERE SOON!:thumbsup2:beach:

Thanks for the awesome TR!! I really enjoyed it (and Franklin's beautiful pictures).

I showed my DF Franklin's cuff links (we're getting married in WDW in just 157 days!) and he fell head over heels in love! He could spend a whole week just in Epcot.

Love your Aruba pictures! Aruba is hands down my favorite vacation I've ever taken, it's such a beautiful, perfect island. Congrats on your married life!

Have a neighbor that just left yesterday for a wedding at the Grand Floridian this coming weekend! WOW, JUST GORGEOUS!:woohoo:

That would be a DREAM for one of my sons, a wedding at the Grand Floridian...
Typically, as a "mother" of sons, don't have much "say" in these arrangements, but nonetheless, a wedding at the Grand Floridian must be GORGEOUS! CAN'T WAIT to see my neighbors pics!

ENJOY PLANNING YOUR WEDDING AND BEST OF LUCK!!!!:thumbsup2:):)

Hey thanks! I've seen tons of gorgeous Grand weddings too :goodvibes My future MIL is thrilled to pieces with our plans, so you never know what kind of wedding you might be planning someday!!

I am loving reading this, photos are amazing. Had to post so I can find you easier next time. :cheer2:

Great pics of the Yacht Club! I love the mix of the vibrant colors in the rugs and furniture with the traditional looking wood

Looks like a very nice time in Aruba (minus the rain that one day of course) ... and my goodness the food porn!

Glad you enjoyed your honeymoon - you both certainly look very happy!

Thanks for sharing your honeymoon with us! What an amazing start to your marriage.

And now I need to go to Aruba from the looks of those pictures too!

Thanks for sharing everything about your trip and all of your wonderful photos!!! So sad it's over. But excited to read you will be heading there again soon.

AAAAAHHHHH Missy!!!! What a great report!!!
So many things I loved:
First, your wedding was just beautiful - you all look so incredibly happy but I have to say, my favorite picture of you both is the one at the very end in Aruba - you both look absolutely radiant - exactly the way a newly married, honeymooned couple should look. What a wonderful end to a fantastic trip. I loved your encounter with B2M - so cool and what a shout out to you all singing your wedding song... I just saw they're playing during my birthday week this year and I have to say after reading your report - I'm soooo tempted to go!

Thanks again for sharing - wish you both a wonderful marriage!:flower3:

Thank you for such a fabulous TR from your honeymoon!! Can't wait for the next edition -- have an awesome time on your next trip! :goodvibes:goodvibes
