Wait - We're staying Where? and When????

Yeah for booking. Is March flower and garden at Epcot? So pretty

AKL!!! I love that resort. I am torn between that and the Boardwalk for our September trip (we ended up loving the Boardwalk); the only thing holding me back is the pool at the Boardwalk.

Is it the scary clown??? When in Sept are you going? Wondering if our trips will overlap.

Yes, the Flower & Garden show starts in March, which is why we are going. I've always wanted to visit during that time.

As a former BWVillas owner, you'll love it!!
::yes::

Thanks!

WHY AM I NOT GETTING NOTIFICATIONS ON YOUR UPDATES?!?!?

WHY!!!!

i demand the Dis Lords to rectify this issues immediately!!!

I am SOOOOOOOOOOO sorry i missed all this!!! AKL! That's AMAZING!!! :cheer2:

Yes, I am NOT fond of that clown at all. Mark and I talked last night and we are going to do a split stay: three nights AKL CL (I want to do the Sunrise Safari) and four nights at Boardwalk Villas in a one bedroom villa (we will just use the quiet pool by the Boardwalk Inn).

We will be at Disney September 19 - 26.

We haven't booked yet, but are looking at BWV first - we will be there the beginning of the month - probably from the 1 - 13, but those dates are not firm - which is why we haven't booked yet. Plus I'm waiting for the final paperwork to come so I can do it on-line. I hate waiting on the phone and being reminded that I can book on-line. LOL

I'm with Kathy.. that clown would give my the hibby gibbies the entire time i was there...

But the boardwalk looks LOVELY!!! I will one day stay there.

HA! my subscription is back and working...

I think you should stay there this trip - then you won't have to deal with any construction issues.... just sayin':rolleyes1

I know... BUT i want Jen and family too stay at the poly so they can walk out and see the castle every morning! watch wishes from the beach on their first trip!

next time i WILL be there...

Awwww old Pennywise is harmless, and it is great fun to be spit out of his mouth.

Tip: if you don't want to get barrel rolled on the last turn, slide sitting instead of on your back!

Subscribing so I can live vicariously through you :) Looking forward to hearing about Flower and Garden!!

Welcome Jess! I hope I can do the F&G justice. I hope to take lots of pictures!

Thanks for the tip - the clown does not give me the hibbie jibbies. I think it will be fun to slide out of his mouth!

Finally! I can finally post that we now have reservations for Boardwalk Villas for the first week in September!!!!!

We will have a Boardwalk view studio - we really don't need more than that as I don't plan on cooking while I'm on vacation - other than heating something in the toaster or microwave.

We also decided that since we are going drive down , we would stay the first 2 nights at Universal and go visit my favorite wizard and his new digs and then transition over to my new favorite home away from home.

Yep, we are going to be gone for 2 weeks this time:dance3:. Now to make sure I plan my vacation time appropriately....

Glad you were able to finally book your trip! I am sorry we will miss you, but your plans sound great.

Those of you that read D~s tr know that my sister-in-law Gwen suffered what we thought was a stroke right after Thanksgiving. Turned out not to be a stroke, but a malignant brain tumor. She went in for surgery 2 weeks ago and was released to go home 3 days later. She was alert and talking while in the hospital, but once home, the chemo from the wafer that was inserted during surgery affected her drastically and she was sick for 2 days. She never did recover from the effects of the chemo and the nausea and slept most of the time. On Monday she slipped into a coma and hospice was called to help make her as comfortable and painfree as possible. She passed away late Tuesday night. I had talked to my brother Tuesday evening and he said that he was talking to her, telling her how much she was loved. The hardest part of this for us was that we could not be there at her side during any of this. My nephew did fly to Hawaii and got there right before she was scheduled for surgery. Thankfully. He has been a rock for my brother. Gwen's sister and BIL also make it over and were at her side.

I can't tell you how much we are going to miss this wonderful, strong, bold and brassy woman. The "bold and brassy" are my Shannon's words, but they describe Gwen to a "T". The outpourings of love and care have touched me greatly. She made friends everywhere she went. There will be a service in Hawaii for Gwen's family and friends and then my brother will bring her home for another service and burial.

The next few weeks are going to be hard to get through, but I know that she is in a better place. As hard as it is for us, I am so grateful that she did not linger and suffer, which she would not have wanted.

This is how I want to remember her:

Tess, I am so very sorry to hear the sad news about your sister-in-law. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
