My family of 6 will be in WDW Sept/Oct. Do you think we could make reservations the day of since I've been told this time of the year is slower? :confused3

thanks!

Let's put it this way. I am going the end of Sept till Oct 1st and I made reservations back in April and had a hard time back then getting what I wanted.

I had to settle for lunch some days and dinner at 3:40 in the afternoon.

I'd start calling if I was you. Good luck.

Uhhh, I'd start making some calls real quick...... If you are going to be there anytime at all during the free dining period, you are probably running out of many options at this point. I made ours 5 months ago. Good Luck!!

During free dining? Heck even if NOT during free dining, I'd suggest getting some dining ressies made.

Thankyou to all who replied!

Another question...We plan on eating at our hotel restaurant (Beach Club Resort) a couple times as I figure this will be conveniant. Should I make reservations for that as well.

If it's table service, absolutely make a reservation. Have you grabbed a calendar, notebook, and a soda? Find a comfortable chair, and start dialing-you'll be very, very glad you did!:thumbsup2

Oh, I really hope you call right away. We are going in mid-September and I'd like to change just a couple of things around. I call every single day, sometimes twice, and almost everything is booked completely solid (i.e. not one opening for any sized party at any time). I was able to snag one cancellation the day and time we wanted and I keep calling in hopes to end up getting another one.

I'm glad I called a few months ago to make our initial round of reservations because if I hadn't, I'd probably be shedding tears!

If you end up having difficulty, try to find out what may be available at different resorts; they can be easier to get than the restaurants at the parks. Best of luck! Also - keep an eye on the cancellation/trade thread; you might be able to pick up some great spots from that.

Ok, I just read that you may need a credit card to make reservation?
What info do they need if your using the DDP?
My parents are taking my family so I have no info.
What to do??

I'm also going to WDW late September. My wife made her reservations 180 days in advanced. The choice seating at the popular restraunts was booked months ago for that time. Book what you can now, and don't get your hopes up.

I don't think you will need a credit card unless you are booking something like Cinderellas Royal Table, or maybe Victoria and Alberts. Just give them your phone number or reservation number I can't remember which, they will tell you!! Its really easy to make ADR's don't worry about it!!! Good Luck!!

whatever number you decide to book your adr's under (phone number) KEEP IT THE SAME!! I always typed in my ressie number, but then they'd ask me for my phone number, the one person said, it wont matter, most use their cell numbers.. well i had used my home one for some, then added on with a cell number (after being told that), then called back a 3rd time to finish out the ADR's. Well, they are now ALL under one number, because they werent all listed the other way..
