Wait times on the app

How accurate is the app for wait times?
I've been trying to keep an eye on morning wait times before my trip and I've noticed a few rides like Soarin' and Frozen have considerable wait times by 8.50 even if the park isn't supposed to open until 9.00

wait times are pretty accurate. The morning wait times posted usually indicate what they expect the first 30 minutes to be, also it could be you checked on a day that had morning EMH.
I would not consider wait times in the evening to be as accurate especially the hour before park closing, they tend to be over most of the time especially for popular attractions

I did Flight of Passage 3 times last week by being at Animal Kingdom when they open the gates at 0800 to let guests go to Pandora, even though the rest of the park didn't open until 0900.

It seems to vary. Sometimes, the wait times seem to be correct, other times they are inflated.
I have had better luck with the wait times from touring plans being more accurate, if enough people are posting.
