I can't believe I'm admitting this, but in all our MANY trips to WDW, we have only done Small World once and we have never done the Tea Cups or carousel at all! Oh, the shame . . . .

Anyway, we are taking our first trip as parents in May and we want to take our little guy on all three of those. I know there are some rides in Fantasyland (Dumbo, Pooh, Peter Pan) that have very long lines, and we need to hit those first thing in the morning. Right?

What about Small World, the carousel, and the Tea Cups? Could we come back and do those later in the day, or would we find long lines then?

We are going on a non-ee week day in mid May.

Any thoughts?

Small World is very fast loading, even with a long line the wait shouldn't be too long. TeaCups and Carousel load a limted number of people for a short (maybe 2 minute) ride. The wait for these could be similar to Dumbo.

In our past trips, (we've only been during the months of June and July) I have found that the lines to the Tea Cups and Carousel are not as long as the wait for Dumbo. If you go to those after you finish with Dumbo, Pooh, and Peter Pan, you will not have a long wait. You could get a FP to Pooh so you could do it last. It seems that IASW never has a very long line and it's moves quickly. :earsgirl:

Small World loads very fast. I actually don't think I've ever seen a line there.

I usually do the Fantasyland carnival rides like the Carousel and tea cups in the morning and usually the wait is about 5-10 minutes. Not sure how long they get latter in the day.

Of the three, we have only experienced waits lomger than 10 minutes for the carrousel.

It's not in Fantasyland, but if you want to go to the racetrack make sure you do that very early in the day or get a fastpass. The lines get long for that, also, and my son really wanted to do the cars so we ended up back at MK the following day.

I usually do Dumbo first then Tea Cups and the rest of Fantasyland and last Carousel, the Speedway is a FP must unless you do it right after Dumbo, the lines for Speedway are very long as they attract most of the little (and big) boys, very popular ride. Just be there at park opening and if you can Early Entry would be even better. Good luck and have a great time.

Thanks for the great info! We aren't planning on doing the Speedway. We HATE that thing, and I'm not doing it until our little buddy is too big (and interested) for us to get away with skipping it! :p
