I am surprising DD with a trip to DLR for her fifth birthday next week!!!! :woohoo:

We made our second trip to WDW in October, and DD was finally tall enough to ride the "big rides." Her favorite attraction hands-down is ToT. :scared1:

I know that, on her birthday, she is going to want to ride ToT over and over and over. (Her actual birthday is next Thursday, and that will be our first full day at DLR.)

Any thoughts on what the wait times will be like? (I plan to make good use of FP, but I would love to get an idea of how crowded things might get this time of year - seems like it should be a relatively low-crowd time, but I do realize that we will be there on a Friday evening and a Saturday in addition to Thursday.)

Thanks for your words of wisdom. :thumbsup2

It's hard to say, but under 30, and probably under 20 minutes most of the time.

Thanks! I know there is no way to know for sure, but it is nice to have an idea from folks who have been there. I haven't been to DLR since before CA existed! :scared1:

I walked on ToT yesterday and the day before. Midweek it's dead here and I'm loving it!

We were there in off season (kids back in school) in Sept. 4 years ago. Very low crowds during the week - no problems on anything.

However, on Friday afternoon the "expected wait time" for TOT was WAY off! They only had one elevator running but you didn't learn that until you were waaayyy into the queue. It took almost 2 HOURS! I'm pretty sure they weren't running FP either.

We got talking with the lady behind us and she was a SoCal AP holder. Was there ONLY for that one ride, said she was going to be late picking up her son from school but had waited that long she wasn't going to get out of line. She was very nice and calm, apparently did this a lot, but wow.

And no, it wasn't a holiday of any kind, just a Friday.

Pretty much walk on mid-week, line gets longer in the evening.

This past Friday it was walk-on until the evening, when it was posted at 60 - 75mins near park close.

Thanks for the info!!! I wonder if we will be able to beat our WDW record of 8 rides in one day?

It should be no problem at all. A. You can get a new FP in DCA every two hours, despite the return windows time(you can do this in WDW also) and you came use them anytime after the return window opens(you can usually do this at WDW too). So with the chance at at least 6 ToT FPs, that will get help you get to 8. B. It's much less popular as you can see from the wait times above.

However don't get DD too excited. It's not exactly the same attraction and some parts are missing from the DCA version.

This is my 6 yr old DD's favorite ride too! We waited about 20 minutes today, a Sunday afternoon around 3:00.
