Greetings all!

Just curious to see what app people use to check wait times while at the park.

I use the actual disney app and mouse wait.
just seeing if there is anything else out there.

I use the free DLR Lines app, also called "Disneyland Lines" by Touringplans.com, and to a lesser extent the Disneyland MouseWait 2.5 FREE app.

What is the "actual disney app"? Is it free? Is that the Disney Mobile Magic app (that is free on Android, not sure about iPhone)?

Disneyland Lines only gives a free 24-hour trial; after that, you have to pay for a Touringplans.com subscription.

I regularly use MouseWait. It's fairly accurate and always free.

It looks like the offical Disney app is indeed the Disney Mobile Magic app. I just looked up on my Android phone, it looks pretty cool. I remember hearing about it before, but I dismissed it because it was sponsored by Verizon so I assumed it was only available to Verizon customers (I'm with AT&T). Turns out, I can download it too, there are some things only available to Verizon customers but it still has plenty of useful stuff for anyone.

I just got an Android phone to use on this trip and I just downloaded MouseWait. MW seems pretty interesting, as there seems to be a social networking factor built into the app.

sorry for the confusion.
what I meant by the "official disneyland app" is the Disney Mobile Magic app that is sponsored by Verizon Wireless. I like that app not so much for the wait times (mainly because it doesn't give actual wait times, it gives "light", "moderate" or "heavy". which really could mean anything) but I like it for the games that they have on there. I love Disney trivia.

I do like the Mousewait app. It seems like everyone who uses that is real friendly and you can actually talk with people on there. From what i have heard the wait times are kinda accurate too.

The Disney app by Verizon will give you actual wait times when you step inside the theme park. I use it often at WDW and its fairly accurate

I had forgotten about the Disney Mobile Magic app too, for the same reason. I'm not going to pay $10 for an app, or whatever the cost was for Verizon customers originally. Glad to see it is free on Android now.

Also, the Disneyland Lines app for Touringplans.com ... my app is free somehow, and I am not a subscriber.

I have Touring Plans and Mobile Magic and I have Sprint.
Not to hijack this thread, but does anyone else with Sprint have trouble getting a data signal in the park? Even though I have these apps, I can never use them in the park because there is no data signal. I know it is not the phone because I have been there with two different 4G phones and I couldn't upload anything.

The app is free to download on the Android market. When you boot it up though, it'll tell you at the top you have a 24-hour trial, after which you need to buy a subscription. I suppose you could uninstall and reinstall each day, but I figure it's not worth the hassle for me.

I downloaded it a few years ago. Maybe I got in before the restrictive software took effect.
