Wait time to redeem Disney VISA reward dollars?

How long is the turn-around for redeeming these? We leave for Disney on March 21st - how far in advance should I try to redeem my reward dollars? This will also help me know how much longer I should be putting things on the card to add to my total (I pay off the balance each month).

I just started using the Chase Disney Card so I have no experience in turn around time to receive the card with your rewards on it. However, I did receive a flier in the mail yesterday about redemption of Disney Reward Dollars. It states to expect 2-3 weeks to receive the rewards. It also says that if you don't have time to wait, there are places at WDW and DL where you can pick your card with rewards on it.

Per the flier:
For Disneyland:
City Hall at Disneyland Park and Guest Relations at California Adventure.
For Disney World:
Guest Services in DTD Marketplace and City Hall at Magic Kingdom.

You must have your Chase Visa and photo ID to receive your Disney Rewards Card. You must call Chase Card Services to activate the card and load at least 20 Disney Dream Reward Dollars you have earned on it before using.

I don't know whether you have to call prior to going or if the CM at the specified locations have access to get the process started. Once the card is in hand though, you must call. The toll free number is 800-436-7999 and their website is www.DisneyRewards.com/ManageAccount.

I have had the credit card since day #1 and have used my rewards a few times. You can order your reward card at any time but you need to put a minimum amount of reward dollars on it (not sure if it is $10 or $20). If you are worried about having it arrive in time for your trip you can order that beforehand and then you can call or transfer the rest of your points to the card right before you leave for your trip.

I have used the rewards at the resort at the food court, at the gift shop, and I have also applied it to my bill at check in. I have used the card at the parks for souveniers and at restaurants. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the information. I called Disney Visa and was told they could rush me the rewards card if it won't arrive in time. I don't know if there'd be a fee, but if so, I could fall back on what others told me about just going to City Hall at the MK to get the rewards card.
