Wait Time for Guest Services at MK

Confused here-can you activate new annual passes on the app? Never had APs before-we were told they had to be activated at Guest Services in one of the parks or the TTC before we could enter the park.

1. No. (Nobody in this thread has said you could ACTIVATE a new AP using the App.)
2. That is correct.

One of the methods of UPGRADING a standard ticket to AP can be done on the App.
This was what is being discussed.
But, the AP must be activated, in-person, at a Guest Relations (or ticket booth) before that
new AP can be used to enter a park.

Disney Springs GS -UGH! Yes, it is slow there.

Your ticket has to be valid to upgrade, and new WDW tickets are only valid for a few days now.

We found DS fairly pleasant but maybe we caught it at a lucky time! They took our name on an iPad and led us to the waiting area, with comfy chairs and AC and ice water rather than standing in line while we waited. It was only about a 5 minute wait, we barely had time to make ourselves comfortable before we got called up.

It's the luck of the draw at any GS location. You simply never know what the wait will be, or how helpful, or not, the CM will be. There's no location that is better, or worse, than another.
